Re: Breaking Not News !! UK version (Coronavirus related)

There is a point that what I am saying. It does not matter a damn if masks have microplastics. Teabags are going to produce 100x more than masks. Humans are the biggest polluters on the planet, we are very excellent at making a big bloody mess, but absolutely useless at cleaning up after ourselves....

Re: Breaking Not News !! UK version (Coronavirus related)

Tesco staff are told to clean toilets, shelves and floors in 2,000 of its stores as supermarket bosses axe contract cleaners. Staff at Tesco Metro and Express supermarkets in the UK will have to take over the responsibilities of professional cleaners from August 24 - a move that will come as a surp...

Microplastics and man-made fibres from disposable face masks are found in the guts of sharks that live near the seabed off the Cornish coast.

Re: US's Covid Stats - an Embarassment

We've had around 1500 cases and 22 deaths, with every single one of those deaths being people in aged care facilities. I don't think we have any special 'T cells'. If you take the elderly at-deaths-door rest home residents out of the equation (who could have died from a cold) then 'statistically' y...

Re: US's Covid Stats - an Embarassment

Possible if low testing. But then, even if the infection numbers are hidden, it is not likely they can hide the death-by-covid number. If the hidden infections are very high, then the death by covid19 would be very evident. The relatives of those who died of covid19 will surely say something, unles...

Re: How to deal with a friend who thinks COVID 19 is a hoax

So sorry my behavior annoys you! I never behave well around would-be tyrants. LOL. I suppose you drink and drive too? NO? What is the bloody difference? For many years, on and off, I lived in New Hampshire. You may know the state motto, "Live Free Or Die." Better still: LIVE FREE AND DIE It was not...

Re: How to deal with a friend who thinks COVID 19 is a hoax

In the UK there is a £100 fine, though we have yet to see if anyone will be charged. People for whom mask wearing is a distinct problem are medically exempt. And now that the entire medical profession is under the thumb of the government, who decides what, "a distinct problem," is? "Vee vil decide ...

Re: Smart Christianity / Dumb Christianity

This is not at all like Mein Kampf: Jeremiah 22:3 English Standard Version 3 Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent bloo...

It's raked out too far to make it a decent ride.
This is what you want. Nicely balanced big engine; big torque.

Nah, this is what you want.

Maybe actually plants are farming us, giving us oxygen until we eventually decompose and they can consume us. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcSCqj91790eSCKugn5sw52m5razCiBirCleDQ&usqp=CAU This is a cycle. https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.FyMsNBGGFmxHKs-50beNXwHaFJ&pid=Api&...

Re: How to deal with a friend who thinks COVID 19 is a hoax

OK. That's a fair point. But, just to play devil's advocate (I'm no saint by any measure myself) without shaming people, what incentive is there to act virtuously? We often do things because we want to feel good about ourselves for doing them but sometimes we do things because we don't want to feel...
