Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?

To be honest AlexW I'm starting to think that you have some sort of amnesia as well.. Maybe I do... sorry if I couldn't remember. YES as I made it clear many times, everything the small self does, is actually "done" by the "True Self". But the "True Self" isn't an entity and doesn't actually "do" a...

Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?

But I was talking to Age who literally believes that the True Self is speaking through him like a giant being. That's a pychiatric condition. Yes, didn't mean to interrupt your discussion. I don't think Age thinks the Self is a giant being (Age, correct me if I am wrong), The True Self is only a 'g...

Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?

i've never seen the True Self speak, nor has anyone else ever seen it speak as far as i know Exactly this is the problem/illusion. People believe that the small/individual I, the conditioned self can speak, think, feel... but this small I is only a bundle of thoughts, thats all. The True Self ident...

i can't make sense of this sentence i can't make sense of this sentence i can't make sense of this sentence By belief you mean 100% certain belief, so stop insulting me but yes, i've never seen the True Self speak, nor has anyone else ever seen it speak as far as i know :) Just maybe partly the rea...

Re: Another Brick for a Wall...An origin of time and space

There is NOTHING "weird" about black-holes. MORE theories, again made up of ASSUMPTIONS and GUESSES, which do NOT LOOK AT what IS actually occurring. Well you can't LOOK AT " what IS actually occirring" because LOOKING AT things requires them to reflect some light for you to LOOK AT. But black hole...

Re: Another Brick for a Wall...An origin of time and space

Too much weird speculation on Black Holes too. Basically they are just absurdly giant stars built up of many stars in the centers of galaxies. They are just massive enough to trap light ....and return 'matter' back to energy approaching infinite or infinitesimal frequencies. They are the same becau...

Re: Another Brick for a Wall...An origin of time and space

You may want to look into the physics of black holes. The mathematics gets weird and space-time gets inverted. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penrose_diagram Some of the more esoteric theories out there is that the universe is not expanding, but we are falling into the Singularity of the black hole ...

Not possible because singularities are forbidden by quantum mechanics
Does 'quantum mechanics' provide THEE answer to ALL things?

Re: Another Brick for a Wall...An origin of time and space

If at the side of the infinitely large, I asked if we could reach, observe, touch ... The Universe's Wall , this question is to whether we can have a time and spacial origin point, a Singularity? Singularity may well exist, but that in no way infers an origin point. For example if, as some of you B...

Re: The Bricks in Space and Time...

Between the walls of the infinite and the infinitesimal (or Zero), we have the substance of matter and time itself to question. What is there really to question? There is 'matter', physical objects, and 'space', the distance between physical objects. There is no such thing as 'time' being any thing...

Re: The Universe's Wall

If you could somehow get to an “edge” of the Universe, if it could exist, would you be able to touch it? That's as speculative as it gets.. I don't think that our kind of universe has an edge. But maybe other kinds are possible as well, with edges that reflect everything back? So for an instant you...

Re: "How are you defining the word 'murder' here?"

But with the definition of 'murder' that I am using I can NOT be WRONG. So much for being OPEN. The whole point of what I am getting at is that "you" can NEVER be WRONG because "you" are always changing the definitions "you" use for the words "you" use, and "you" NEVER let anyone else KNOW what def...

Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?

But even if EVERY one, besides just one, says some thing is true or right, then does that in and of itself MEAN that it is ACTUALLY true or right? i can't make sense of this sentence If that is what you BELIEVE, then that is what it MUST BE. i can't make sense of this sentence For surely, you would...

Re: Einstein on the train

It is still the case that apples fall to the ground and that they accelerate at 9.8mss, those are facts. Who said that they were NOT facts, at this moment, when this is written? It is the explanations and mathematical models -the stories- which change. Are you TRYING TO suggest that over the centur...

Re: Einstein on the train

For centuries "facts" within science come and go or change. As I said, facts are: ...the results of experiments, and the maths that describe them. Yes I KNOW what you said. I have read this. The very reason I wrote what I did to you about 'facts' is because of the very words you say. It is still th...
