Re: How something which has no form, soul, can be detected?

But the brain is also a physicalist element so that too must be removed.

I wasn't aware of a brain in my direct experience that ever suffered from psychological issues. How strange!

Please tell me, where is this brain occurring?

Re: Your brain hallucinates your conscious reality

Do you trust yourself with this direct experience of two normal faces? But this has nothing to do with actual direct experience of SELF which is prior to any concept or image, or ideas about people with mental problems. Point is, in the case of the normal face demo, do you agree 'you' were deceived...

Re: Does the Empirical-I Exist?

VA: What DAM and I are talking about is a direct first person experience of the Absolute. No distinctions. Its not religion; its NOT a belief system. Science believe it or not is just as dogmatic if not more so than religion. Both religion and science for the most part take a lot for granted in just...

Re: Milgram and God?

No VA. You're referring to egoic leaders of religious institutions who ask people to kill in the name of self righteousness. That has absolutely nothing to do with what true spirituality is. Its about Love. Not killing. Because when you kill in the name of religion its done under the illusion of sep...

Re: Your brain hallucinates your conscious reality

Once again you've fallen into a trap buddy. Its not a belief system. Its based on direct experience. Your scientific mind is just as dogmatic as a preachers. Non duality is NOT repeat NOT a belief system. IT IS based on DIRECT EXPERIENCE. No Brains. No preacher. No Sunday School. No Sunday Services....

Re: Your brain hallucinates your conscious reality

Sounds a LOT like a belief system! In a way, it is a set of belief but based on possible empirical reality and inferred from various sources of real evidences. You have to read the books of both neuroscientists to gather more information that support their hypothesis. It is a matter of time this be...

Re: Your brain hallucinates your conscious reality

Well you know VA, I used to be a materialist like you so I can see why you have this belief system where brains exist. Materialists also believe that the universe is just a dumb universe full of bouncing particles that are governed by rational physical forces. However why do most materialists think ...

Re: How to Achieve Non-Dualism Intellectually?

Veritas, all you're showing with this video is the Neti Neti method of self inquiry. Along with this method of self inquiry we can also use contemplation and first person experiences to discover who we really are. Any idea that there is somehow a person or little homunculus inside your brain control...

Re: There is No Me, No You, No Person, No Self ???

I wonder, Timeseeker, why do you think that everything happens in a brain?. So if its all neuronal activity then where is this brain occurring? In my head? But how could it be? I thought my body was just in my brain?

Re: What if God is weak?

Consciousness is NOT an emergent property of brains. I The statement that consciousness comes from brains is nothing more than a flimsy metaphysical assumption that collapses upon further metaphysical examination. Of course most scientifically minded people ignore metaphysics which produces sloppy s...

Re: So the begging question is: why call reality ''God'' anyway ?

DAM, wonderfully said. My 180° turn came when I realized that my mind was not in this fictional brain, but rather my body was in the mind. Everything is pure Source energy, including this illusion of being this "body". An object cannot perceive itself. You are not your brain. There is no brain. It e...

Re: So the begging question is: why call reality ''God'' anyway ?

VA you keep saying brains are needed. Why do we need appearances to explain other appearances? Brains are not needed....Source manifests directly. Obviously you are a materialist at heart. Its too bad children just get automatically brainwashed with this paradigm that quantum mechanics has actually ...

Re: The God Illusion is not Impossible.

Honestly. As a former materialist I was always looking for "Me". Read a book about the pre frontal cortex. Trying to find yourself? Good luck. There is no (insert name here) that exists. Its pure conception. When you REALIZE this you will rub your eyes and get the illusional remnants out. You ARE TH...
