Re: What Will Heal the Division between the Sexes?
We could look to Norway for an example of feminism in action: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminism_in_Norway#Feminization_of_politics Feminism is about equality, not superiority: "The fathers quota has up until 2013 been 14 weeks and is reserved for the father/co-mother. From 2013 this law wa...

Re: Mummy, Mummy, what’s Russell’s Paradox?
The natural numbers without 0 being a countable infinity are just as viable as integers with negative numbers and 0, being the same 'size'. Therefore, Johndoe has a point.

Re: Qualia and Differentiation
A line is still a line. To differ the qualitative aspects of a line is to form a line between them. You're confusing their appearance as a line as an actual line. A line is merely a dimension that both unifies and seperates. The line between colors x and y, observes a boundary of seperation in one ...

The act of relation between colors form further colors, much in the same manner the relation of frequencies for...

Re: God is testing us all
I'm sorry but I have realized we've had a conversation about the 'test' without describing what the 'test' itself tests! Is it Good and Evil that are being tested? Or self-knowledge? Or what?

Re: God is testing us all
How does free will change when taking a test? And what do you mean with free will changing? I mean that our choices can change in 'free will changing.' After taking the test we have demonstrated that we have knowledge, and therefore can go on to the next test. Our free-will determines whether or no...

Re: Qualia and Differentiation
Here's something interesting from wikipedia that supports the individuality of colors in the sense of spectral lines having no discrete quantized states: Line broadening and shift A spectral line extends over a range of frequencies, not a single frequency (i.e., it has a nonzero linewidth) . In addi...

Re: Qualia and Differentiation
A spectral line is still a dimension in itself, and its relation to other spectral lines forms further ones. A line is merely a dimension of space, nothing more. In these respect what we observe of qualia as direction, is merely quantity as "unit". You're confusing the idea of a line with...

Re: God is testing us all
What if the test is for the student in that he/she will learn about himself/herself during the test? God knows, but the student doesn't. The whole point of a test is to test aptitude for a certain skill. This skill will be used later on in a real job. The student knows what is needed and will learn...

Re: Qualia and Differentiation
Is the red we observe in an object(s) ever the same red? Even in atomic spectroscopy, is it ever the same red? Even if we see a 'spectral line' of color in atomic spectroscopy, is it ever the exact same position and intensity? If so, then that means that there are truly quantum states. If not, then...

Re: Is all of philosophy just opinion?
It seems that way to me. Pick any subject and nothing definite results. Just more questions arise and nothing seems to get settled. Does this state of affairs discourage you or do you see any hope? PhilX 🇺🇸 Even though there are many viewpoints of philosophy, many can be categorized and synthesized...

Re: Socratic Ignorance vs Secular Intelligence
Also, why is everyone so stuck on 'cogito ergo sum' when it could be 'imagination ergo sum' or 'belief ergo sum' or 'faith ergo sum' or even 'intuition ergo sum'. To me, faith would be the starting point of doubting doubt, as it gives grounds to believe in what is not seen nor heard. Because that's...
