Re: Until tonight....

Tell me about those who are not lost causes. What are they like? Do they have a university education and wear corporate garb to their respectable jobs where they meet their respectable spouses and produce high achieving heterosexual ever-smiling and good-hearted offspring who then go on to spawn mor...

Re: What should a community/nation/state (government) provide for citizens?

Don't panic, Henry, your dream appears to be on the way.

I don't think you need to lobby for the billionaires whose interests you are effectively representing. They seem to be doing a pretty good job of controlling our societies on their own, at least it's working for them.

Re: Alinsky's Rules for Radicals

I am not sure why it is that religious people have such a problem with healing the poor, which is what universal healthcare is supposed to be about. Still, universal healthcare is not a feature of any country with a very large population. Large populations seem to inevitably become plutocracies - th...

Re: Overpopulation & the elderly

Well, they had to make suicide a mortal sin, because they were promising the serfs a beautiful afterlife, but had no intention of making this life less miserable. The believing poor would have rushed off to the good place in droves, long before the elite squoze the last erg of menial labour out of ...

Re: Overpopulation & the elderly

“Pain and suffering have come into your life, but remember pain, sorrow, suffering are but the kiss of Jesus - a sign that you have come so close to Him that He can kiss you.” ''“There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. The world gains mu...

Re: Alinsky's Rules for Radicals

"Back on topic." Anyway, turns out that Trump's response to the looming threat to the nation's future is to cut education spending by $9 billion. https://www2.ed.gov/about/overview/budget/budget18/budget-factsheet.pdf If the people are kept ignorant then they will be easier for the church and conse...

Re: "It won't do any good to name call."

I get called all manner of foul thing. What's good for the anarchist is good for the commie (scum). I know what you mean, Henry. Only earlier today ... someone called me a "fucking crone". Isn't that simply dreadful? Fucking crone is a compliment. If a crone is still fucking she's got somethi...

Henry: Conservative closet theocrat in libertarian underwear

"Fucking crone" is a tad pejorative but, sure, I'm a bitch. I'd actually rather not be but I am, and for now I am okay with that. It's a dirty job but diversity means that someone's got to do it. The good thing about being a fucking crone is that I can tell clowns like you that you are hypocritical ...

Re: Overpopulation & the elderly

The anarchist who insists that dying people be completely controlled rather than have their individual wishes respected. Riiight. Nope, you look like just another conservative closet theocrat in libertarian underwear. And, Henry, don't start with the "mebbe they can do themselves" circular reasoning...

Re: I can't value things intellectually

The question of pleasure takes hold through reason: Is the sex-drug induced rockstar receiving more pleasure than a man sitting on a bench in the park watching birds? Nice question. Again, this seems to come down to time. Note that rock stars tend to have extreme highs and lows anyway due to the na...

Re: Satan gave man love. Was it worth the hate?

The ancients we like us in many ways. The difference between us and them is basically equivalent to the difference between teens and adults - life experience. We have all these thousands of years of extra experience now. Our bodies of knowledge built from that experience are now huge, and growing e...

Re: Alinsky's Rules for Radicals

Here is an example of a woman who has profited from a progressive education to such a degree that she would have made Alinsky proud. She has found her purpose in life and her agenda has given her the gift of meaning. What else could be asked for from a progressive education? A professor at Georgeto...
