Re: Do you see the power?

Can you let me know when you've seen it and tell me what you think about what he says. Much appreciated. Yes, I will! It might be a few days, though, as I'm working on a big work project which is filling my head to its current capacity for "new stuff to process". I function better when I pace myself.

Will you be doing that with your clothes on? I know what you can be like when you're in that mood.
Either way works really well. What matters most is the MOOD... 'cause you can do anything with that, and it's good.

Re: Do you see the power?

I can stop in an instant and feel love for ANYONE. Your friend bob will be over the moon when he hears that. I'm guessing he wouldn't believe it or care. Unconditional love must surely be among the countless things that do not have any position within Bob's intoxicated realm of tightly struct...

Re: Do you see the power?

While existence/creation/the Universe is much more than our powers of perception enable us to experience, I think we would be better to confine ourselves to making the most of the part of it that is accessible to our senses. Just as we would expect to be able to communicate more effectively in our ...

Re: Do you see the power?

So then this one set about to play hide and seek with itself. And that was the purpose, to separate from it's wholeness just for the fun of seeking itself again, I can see the value of entertainment... I just don't think it requires "remembering". This experience is brief... why not lose oneself co...

Re: Why atheists compare God to santa

Since you think this is how it works, can you provide an example of how your own complete lack of belief in anything at all entails different beliefs? Well, for starters, I didn't say I lacked beliefs. So there is nothing that you lack belief in, and that's why you cannot provide an example of how ...

Re: Why atheists compare God to santa

Will you acknowledge that your disbelief entails different beliefs? It is difficult to acknowledge something that does not feel true. :) Since you think this is how it works, can you provide an example of how your own complete lack of belief in anything at all entails different beliefs? In truth, m...

Re: Why atheists compare God to santa

You like not answering questions don't you, this appears to be a theist trait upon this forum. Isn't that the truth?!! It's the strangest thing... such blatant avoidance and diversion... over and over. I can't tell whether it's dishonesty or a mental wiring difference of some kind. One would think ...

Re: Do you see the power?

What's the point of a play without an audience (awareness)? Even though the one playing the actor is the same one who is watching the act. The purpose would be to pretend there is someone watching and acting, otherwise there would be no show. That's the purpose I'm talking about. This is about the ...

Re: Why atheists compare God to santa

Reflex, can you give a better example of how an atheist could demonstrate to a theist the way in which an atheist thinks about 'God' -- rather than using the example that it's roughly how the theist thinks about Santa, i.e. no belief at all in his existence. Nothing more. (Arising, I used your word...

Re: Why atheists compare God to santa

Why do atheists think employing a category error is a legitimate debating tool? Reflex, can you give a better example of how an atheist could demonstrate to a theist the way in which an atheist thinks about 'God' -- rather than using the example that it's roughly how the theist thinks about Santa, ...

Re: Do you see the power?

I did some washing last week and when I took the clothes out of the machine there was a sock missing. I did another load of washing this week, including the odd sock. This time, when the machine had finished, the odd sock had gone missing, but, in it's place, the absent sock from last week had reap...

Re: Do you see the power?

"Dontaskme", thanks for your response. Some of it makes my head swim with all the details... but I think I've always tended to "get" a lot instinctively, which (at times) cannot easily be described/fathomed in our language/concepts. It's a game of eternal separate and return to self. No thing is act...

Re: Do you see the power?

It takes you as a body form, but the you is only ever an energetic idea that thinks it is a person inside a body, but all that is false, there is no person, a person is a thought, it's an energetic unknown phenomena taking on a form... I'd like to ask you some questions about your perspective based...

Re: Who Really is an Atheist?

So far there is not a single uncomfortable question either he [Nick] or little chihuahua have answered. Might it be that one's "reality" actually turns off the parts of one's brain/thinking that would enable them to see and hear beyond that reality? Some theists and self-proclaimed "divinely-inspir...
