Re: Despair as an imperative for change

Have you gone from despair to overcoming the cause behind it? Madera There is no single cause for logical despair (see my last post prior to your post), except the category of bad things that threaten your future and which aren't solved for, where logical despair can be infinitesimally small, or in...

Re: another psychiatric diagnosis under my belt

Does that sound like a healthy relationship? it is not unusual for twins to be told - by parents, mental health professionals, random strangers on the internet - that they are too close, that their relationship is so close as to be unhealthy not entirely sure what that even means our relationship i...

Re: Despair as an imperative for change

The quanta of despair with the quanta of any promised further despair is equal to the rate of necessary investment in experimentation (testing/research/exploration), because despair comes out of limited options to satisfy needs, and therefore, one must seek out new options to improve the situation....

Re: The Argument That Prayer, True Prayer, Does Not -

Cogito ergo sum, so I know that I exist, but I have my doubts about the rest of you, or at least if you are real human beings. You could all be computer generated just to piss me off. There are mystics who believe that if they learn to concentrate and meditate just right, they can make the world di...

Re: On how perspective affects the nature of things

So we can say that thought influences reality, but only to a certain extent - like in your example of the meteor. But I don't think it's fallacious to say that thoughts CAN have some influence on reality. And who is to say which perspective is right or wrong? Though I do agree that the further you ...

. Soooo...you are able to get around your thoughts? You are able to detached from them? Prisoner. Yeah, come to think of it, you aren't able to feel the limitations of your own thoughts. For you, your thoughts are your playground. Your thoughts are you... You to be protected and defended. You are o...

Re: On how perspective affects the nature of things

It's a generally agreed upon truth that how you perceive something affects what it is to you. If you see someone as good, he will be good, if you see someone as irritating, he will be irritating. So far so good, right? In fact, it could be argued that the entirety of anything is exactly how you per...

Re: another psychiatric diagnosis under my belt

Hi kayla, I hope all works out for you. I always see something that is sticky in some situations, sorry about that, I dont let a stone unturned. I believe you may be too close to your brother. One day, you will see it for yourself. (I dont like to be too emotionally attached), it is not heallhy. On...

If you read my original post, you found that I concluded it with the opinion that consciousness can not be pure. to acquire consciousness one mus...

Re: Pure Consciousness?

You know Gingko, I am finding this conversation mute. I get the feeling that talk is cheap and no one puts their money where their mouths are. Do we have pure consciousness or do we just talk about it? And if we have arrived at pure consciousness what was the process? Please note that in the title ...
