Re: The character posing as AGE makes a claim … but is it FACT?

I think the Real True Self is a reference to how all human beings can live together in peace
But since this is not happening now then Ken is basically talking to himself and no one else
Future generations however if they are open minded enough will understand him and so want to live together in peace

Re: Why Thinking Is Over-rated

Numbers may not exist physically but they do exist conceptually
As they are the concepts that are applied to physical quantities

All language is a conceptual representation of the physical
Without language complex communication is not possible

Spot the difference :

Future generations will see and understand exactly what I have been doing here

Future generations who will see and understand exactly what I have been doing here

Re: The character posing as AGE makes a claim … but is it FACT?

Ken is not saying future generations will see and understand exactly what he has been doing here since how would he know this But what he is saying however is that those who are open minded enough will see and understand what he has been doing here So his statement is a conditional one not an absolu...

Re: Why Thinking Is Over-rated

Everything is ultimately connected to everything else and so nothing can exist in a state of absolute isolation Any state of isolation that therefore does exist is always going to be relative since it cannot be anything else The human mind has no problem accessing reality because it is part of reali...

Re: Prove An Independent Reality-in-Itself Exists

Is everything in the Universe dependent upon everything else - absolutely it is Things may appear to be independent of each other but in reality this is not true For example every object in the observable Universe exerts a gravitational force upon every other object in it too I know that you are tal...

Re: Philosophy of Sex

Masturbation results in endorphin release just like any sexual activity
So whether that activity is singular or multiple makes no difference
The objective is to achieve orgasm - how its achieved is academic

Re: Which would you choose?

Nature is amoral and I have no problem with that in principle
I also have no problem with suffering in principle since it is how one grows
But the suffering of innocent human beings is not something I could justify

Re: Philosophy of Sex

Procreation and pleasure are not mutually incompatible
Also the reason why human beings have recreational sex is because of endorphin release
Endorphins create positive mood and sex is one of the most natural ways to achieve this

Re: A World Without Men?

Well if the observable universe is one bubble in some multiverse which is eternal and static ( which if there are bubbles blowing up willy nilly it isnt ) then you are either faced with Olbers Paradox or you have to assume that the observable universe has some sort of barrier that prevents light or...

Re: Which would you choose?

I would not have a preference either way but definitely not one who wanted worship
I would much prefer one that was deistic and did not allow the suffering of innocents
