Re: For EoD, Define: Existence

your assuming the zero. zero is a number to define an idea. When I was four years old. I sat on a swing at a park. I had just learned how to whistle. it was the whooper will. not a good version but my first whistle. As i sat on the swing looking around, listening to birds a realization hit me. I loo...

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

You cannot teach God non religiously, it is by definition a religious argument. wrong i just explained how. define scientifically what constitutes the idea of God(s) Probably look for God in the quantum world. maybe or what about the other direction? The universe is not expanding into anything, it ...

Re: For EoD, Define: Existence

it is apparently empty, the reality is, it is not.

0 is not 1.

reality is ultimately beyond the grasp of the human mind. The first step will be recognizing that existence is the base. it is not empty, and no area is without it.

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

I'm sure many remember the courts ruled against it. I argued on science forums in my youth that it should, but due to the attack structure of the forums administrators, I never got to explore the topic to say my peace. You cannot teach God non religiously, it is by definition a religious argument. ...

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

They are nomologically possible. String produces no testable consequences and it is not even wrong. Its current status is logical/metaphysical possibility. If you know how to make it empirical - let us know. so, would it then be beneficial to the whole of societies that children be given a more 're...

Re: For EoD, Define: Existence

You are not attempting to define existence. Your desire is to state that is is whatever it is believed to be by the individual. You so believe that the mind dictates reality, you refuse to acknowledge that any reality is real. You first have to admit that reality has an 'ultimate reality' despite w...

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

My skeptical-agnostic would immediately derail your classroom with: Why should I even care about information OR disinformation? So what if God exists or doesn't? So what if the Earth is flat or round? So what if the climate is changing or isn't? So what if I have free will or I don't? How do any of...

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

[... ...] While you, on the other hand, seem to be insisting that the parameters of the search must in no way include any thoughts or ideas that contain the slightest reference or allusion to any of the world’s religions. Again, your self-limiting (blinkered) approach to the quest of “where do we l...

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

The class is designed to teach two truths. (1: their isn't any real info about 'God(s) 2: Human beings are gullible by default, but critical thinking skills can lesson damage) to get those 15 year olds attention should be as follows: My skeptical-agnostic would immediately derail your classroom wit...

Re: For EoD, Define: Existence

I would love to have a debate primarily with you on this topic. Granted, there are many definitions, as, people use this word loosely. But, seeing as you have a unique perspective, I wish to make a proposal, and then see where the definition leads.I am familiar with many of Plato's works, and I und...

Re: For EoD, Define: Existence

Physics has not given us anything past industrialization. It has not provided us a ground for morality, or psychological order...or "peace". As a matter of fact the subject object dichotomy is not only not proven but necessitates a story of reality, a god, that robbed the human condition ...

Re: Should 'God' be taught is school? (Non religiously)

What has this to do with if God should be taught in school ? What do you mean by teaching God? I kind of see 15 yos rolling eyes and sigh here... I love you man. Great direction for the topic. Ok, well consider this: People look for agency even when it doesn't exist. It is human nature. Coupled wit...

Re: For EoD, Define: Existence

Actually you didn't try, you barely provided a definition for energy and started spouting off highschool physics like it was some moral code or religion. I mean the whole physics thing in light of moral questions, meaning, consciousness, mathematics, logic....well it comes off as a fad. And you wan...
