Re: Faith: Difficult but Necessary?

So...you're just going to make the suggestion, and nations are all going to listen, and are going to stop making wars? And we'll have peace? That is my suggestion. If peace is something that is wanted, then that's probably what it will take. Would you suggest the opposite? I wouldn't think anybody'...

Re: Faith: Difficult but Necessary?

Let's say you're right. How does one go about obtaining peace? At this point in world affairs, I'm not sure how to de-escalate things from where they currently are. However, if/when we get past the present situation, I suggest nations not start wars. So...you're just going to make the suggestion, a...

Re: Faith: Difficult but Necessary?

Do the winners write history or does history favor those who deserve to win? I suggest peace is a viable and necessary route to save humanity from ourselves. Let's say you're right. How does one go about obtaining peace? At this point in world affairs, I'm not sure how to de-escalate things from wh...

The 'you' can never, really, be what you ask here.
Yes. "You" certainly can. You just have to be honest.

I'm wrong about everything. Now what?

Is there any progress in philosophy? Or more to the point, is there any progress in humanity, or do we simply go around in repetitious circles? Or maybe it's just me going around in circles. I give up. My productive life is over as far as I'm concerned. I'm in retirement. Game over.

Re: This sucks but there doesn't seem a whole lot we can do

To try and get back what was 'theirs', previously. After years of being continually oppressed. With what, exactly? Did this just start, 'now'? Is there something wrong with one country funding, or helping, another? Please "gary childress" do not let 'the truth' get in the way of a 'good c...

Re: This sucks but there doesn't seem a whole lot we can do

It seems as though a lot of things are happening at once. Russia invaded Ukraine. To try and get back what was 'theirs', previously. Hamas attacked Israel. After years of being continually oppressed. China started threatening Taiwan. With what, exactly? North Korea was shelling the DMZ, Did this ju...

Re: What is tolerance?

Question: What is the purpose of the Motion Picture Association film rating system? Its purpose is to help Parents make a decision on what they wish to expose their children to. Oddly enough, pornography seems to carry more warning than violence. We watch R rated horror films that give us nightmare...

This sucks but there doesn't seem a whole lot we can do

It seems as though a lot of things are happening at once. Russia invaded Ukraine. Hamas attacked Israel. China started threatening Taiwan. North Korea was shelling the DMZ, Iran is funding the Houthis. I wonder if this was some kind of orchestrated plot by Russia and China to overwhelm the West or i...

Re: Slow Connection or Slow Server?

OK. So now the forum is speeding along again and it says 1550+ guests now. Maybe it's not the number of guests but something else that was slowing things down a few minutes ago? Because now there are more guests but it's performing better than it was when there were 1400.

Re: Is morality objective or subjective?

That is a funny twist, not sure there is any credibility to it. No experience is second-hand. Experience is always true to the state of one's biology. Again, biology is the measure and the meaning of all things, apparent reality is a biological simulation or a biological readout of the energies of ...

It's slow again. Looks like a lot of users again, 1437 a couple of minutes ago when I looked according to the forum home page.

Are there that many lurkers who aren't posting or is this some kind of denial of service attack? :(

Okay.
What do you mean by "Okay"?
What I mean by, 'Okay', here is that I accept that after an evaluation that you were then informed that you may have 'feelings if entitlement', and, what the term or phrase 'psychological entitlement' means or refers to here.
OK.
