Re: The Problem of Light and Speed in a Vacuum

Eodnhoj,

You clearly believe you know a lot. The problems you have are:

1) You are incapable of explaining your ideas intelligibly (in English at least).
2) Whatever it is you know a lot about, it isn't Physics.

Re: The Problem of Light and Speed in a Vacuum

Yes, Eodnhoj, I still can't follow a word you say, and I have enough physics and mathematics to be pretty sure it's because you don't know what you are talking about. If the vacuum is not absolute, then the speed of light is not absolute. If the vacuum is nearly absolute then the measurement is near...

Re: The Problem of Light and Speed in a Vacuum

Eodnhoj, I can't follow a word you say, and I have enough physics and mathematics to be pretty sure it's because you don't know what you are talking about. I n a complete vacuum, with only light existing, the light effectively would be measured only against itself as all speed is an observation of r...

Is trokanmariel a bot?

Is trokanmariel a bot? And by "bot" I mean it usually goes like this, perfect female in a business suit means that God cannot find the exit.

Re: iHRA

Many see an opportunity to gain political advantage for their interest group by complaining about racism, so they do, as loudly and as often as possible. It's not an emotional response. more a tactic.

Re: What is the best book on Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations?

There are many ways of using the truth to tell lies with. I think imp is demonstrating one of those ways here. What he says about the order in which T and PI were published is true, and the description of PI as W "changing his mind" between T and PI is also true enough. However, these truths are not...

Re: the size of nothing

uwot, thanks for introducing me to Laughlin's writing on the subject of "the ether". I remember when I first read about Michelson and Morley's challenge to the notion of the ether and how it prefigured Einstein's special relativity theory, I accepted the conventional wisdom that M&M and SR showed th...
