Re: Was Jesus born with Original Sin?

yes the Jews view Jesus as a phoney after the latter proclaimed he was God's Messiah. There is no evidence that Jesus thought he was God's Son - and yes the Jews would view the latter as heresy. the Bible implies Jesus proclaimed both - that he was the Messiah and God's Son (two utterly different t...

Re: Was Jesus born with Original Sin?

For the same reason I do not believe in the supernatural. I am not fool enough to do so. I want and need evidence of proof of something before I put my belief into anything. I do think that some things can be surmised and predicted, but that is just a guessing game based on known facts. Fair enough...

Re: Was Jesus born with Original Sin?

Yadda yadda, bla bla ..bla! Jews likely had Jesus killed to fulfill the prophesy. They gave Jesus a chance to put his money where his mouth was. Jews also believed that we could forgive each other as it was a part of their forgiveness traditions. Belief in prophesy is for fools.[/quote]Incoherent r...

Re: Was Jesus born with Original Sin?

Was Jesus born with Original Sin? If so, then he could not be the perfect sacrifice. If not, then he had no human side and was pure god, and god cannot die which, makes the sacrifice a lie. Could these facts be why the Jews have no Original Sin concept in their religion? Is that also why Jews rejec...

Re: Jesus was a Jew. Why do some Christians and Muslims hate Jews?

The hate started a lot longer than 70 years ago and to think so ignores all the Jews persecuted by Christianity prior to that. Think inquisitions and jihads. Or do you think the inquisitions and jihads were love motivated instead of hate? Romans persecuted christians and jews, the inquisition also ...

Re: Jesus was a Jew. Why do some Christians and Muslims hate Jews?

There's no hate for jews as of such, but Israelites and Mossad. The hate started in the 70s where annexation wars began, rebel groups was helped to power etc.

Re: Your smart phones are watching you.

It's quite funny how you all pretty much miss DAM's point. No your phone isn't surveilling you. She's basically saying there is no separation and no subject/object distinction. One must understand that non duality is a highly nuanced thing, which most people STUCK in the Materialist Paradigm will n...

It was a cheap trick, he hung there for less than a day when you least hang there for a week if not a month.

Re: Religious Interpretations.

How do you separate myths and fables from facts and truths? How do you know if your reinterpretations of the Bible or the Koran are not merely just a rehashing of ancient myths and fables as well? Also, regarding the human condition, one can find as much truth in Grimms Fairytales of Mother Goose r...

Re: The problem with religious critique, logic, reasons, truth-seeking, argumentation, and debate.

Does a problem exist when the thought of it is not manifest? If the thought of that problem did not arise, would that problem exist? Mind is what creates problems and then tries to fix what it broke in the first place. Digging holes and then filling them back in. Forgive me for asking ..ever taken ...

Re: The problem with religious critique, logic, reasons, truth-seeking, argumentation, and debate.

Arguing about Gods and Demons and promises of eternity in Heaven or Hell using intellect and logic is a problem where there isn't one. But human minds cannot live without their religious ideas, so this is a problem that stays. Even when these problems are resolved somehow, the human mind will just ...

Re: Consciousness, what is and what it requires?

To be conscious is to have experience. Babies are conscious but lack experience https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/experience Apparently you are using secondary meaning of the word "experience", taking it to mean "already having memory and knowledge" or "already having proficiency at someth...

Re: Consciousness, what is and what it requires?

Let me try... To be conscious is to have experience. To experience is to feel extern senses or inner emotions. Any experience is a feeling: taste, vision, joy, desire... Any experience is necessarily subjective experience. Subjective experience requires the subject, that is "self". Consciousness re...
