Re: What causes porn addiction???

Up to a point, Mr. Baron. The problem is that not everyone likes to do the same things. Some people may like to walk naked in London. Other people may feel stressed out by seeing lots of naked bodies in the streets of London, hardly any of them resembling the statues of Adonis or Venus. Some regulat...

Re: What causes porn addiction???

Naturism and pornography do have something in common: the transgression of privacy. Most people just do prefer to do certain things in private. And to cover their private parts. (private parts is an expression that the grandma of my American friend used) Using the toilett is another area where most ...

Re: What causes porn addiction???

There are nudist beaches and mixed saunas in Europe.
People who want this can go there.
But the demand seems not to be very high, otherwise more of them would be established.

Re: Philosophy of Mind

Thinking about eternal things gives us peace of mind.

I started a course about Hegel´s logic last week.

Thank you for your contemplative force, Barbara.
You are like a flower in a desert.

Re: Hello everyone

He did not show any emotions at his mother´s funeral.
If he was so honest, then he did not have any emotions to show.

This was brought against him at the trial after he killed an Arab "because of the light".

Such a person looks to me as bored and indifferent to his own existence.

Re: Hello everyone

Existantial therapy is probably for those who are afraid to exist, because the world seems too scary for them. They are suicidal and need some reinforcement for their scared egos. Another group of patients might be those who are too bored to exist. Or too indifferent. The hero of "The Stranger&...

1. Nothing wrong with being gay.
Some of them are even good writers: Nietzsche, E. M. Foster, O. Wilde, ....

2. If you milk a cow you should feel guilty of taking the calf´s milk away from it.
A mammal produces milk for its own off-spring and not for you.

Re: Satyr

When was Nietzsche able to take care of himself ?
Until he was a professor in Basel he had a salary, after that he started going downhill, long before he was taken to the lunatic asylum in Switzerland. After that he stayed in his sister´s house like a patient.

Re: Satyr

I think that I have understood Nietzsche pretty well so far, thank you. Where do you see any criticism of Nietzsche in my post ? Could you kindly point it out to me ? I was just stating some facts and hoping that people would draw their own conclusions. Have you read "On chastity" ? It is ...

Re: Satyr

According to Plato you necessarily need a friend as an interlocutor in order to develop your thoughts in a dialectic way. Such a friend will point out the week points in your argumentation to you and thus is most valuable. Before you deserve such a friend you first need to overcome your fear of crit...

Re: Satyr

Nietzsche a great philosopher ? Rather a great poet ... He considered "Thus spoke Zarathustra" as his most important masterpiece. The chapter "On chastity" is revealing about that he did not appreciate the company of women at all. "I would rather fall into the hands of a mur...

Re: Satyr

Are you really a recovering narcissist ? It seems to me that you still want very much to be different, not like the "masses". It might be a blow to you if I told you that you reminded me of someone who wanted to be a "wacky chick" some time ago, on this forum. But you can relax. ...

Re: Satyr

Have you ever been anything else apart from a satyr ? Have you done anything else apart from indulging in self-pity ? You could do editing as a job. But maybe it is an overcrowded profession, I don´t know. Does your father invite you sometimes for tea to his apartments upstairs ? Does he give you so...

Really ????
I am not fighting for men, so you can keep him.
But he sounded like a gloomy bachelor and he is from Canada and you are from Nevada.
And my dear husband Mr. Mousky is perfectly enough for me.
I just wanted to cheer a lonely soul a little up, that´s all.
