Re:
Whats to say? Camus died in a French car crash when he had a train ticket for the same journey. Ironic given his philosophy. If you'd ever driven in France 20 years ago you'd understand why it was not an uncommon event. Its only recently that they've got them to realise that deciding what drinking ...

Re: Philosophy videos
Here is a website with lots of video conversations between philosophers. Looks to me as if they were mostly done using webcams and maybe Skype - which is certainly an innovative, low-budget way of making philosophy videos!
The website is called Philosophy TV

Re: Arthur Balfour article
Imagine, initially I misspelled Balfour's name. I don't think I would have read the article about him if its tile had not included the word paradox . It is a word that always gets my attention. Paradox is also applicable to the theme of issue 81 in which the Balfour article appears. The theme is me...

Re: About the Forum
Most discussions seem to spin down to 'geeky' stuff. As a matter of interest, did you post this from a Blackberry? If so, what model? I don't have a Blackberry. I wonder what made you think I wasn't posting directly. :? Sorry, it was just a silly joke by me. Because you complained about discussions...

Re: A Cyber-University
In the UK we have had the Open University for 40 years. It uses broadcast lectures, online discussions and tutors who advise students and mark essays. In the early days (before VCRs), dedicated students would get up at 5 in the morning to watch lectures. Now programmes are distributed on DVD. Here ...

Re: Philosophy Now Issue 80 - The Human Condition
we were so busy getting our wedding vows renewed by Elvis.  Rick, I don't remember your posting a link to the video on this forum. Tragically, I think the chapel only keeps them online for a few months. Tragically, I think you may be right. :D Apologies to you and to Arising_uk. Natural...

Re: Philosophy Now Issue 80 - The Human Condition
Philosophy Now is still being supplied to the US news-trade in numbers as big as ever, but individual bookstores do sometimes cancel their orders, and sometimes new stores start selling it. Have you tried asking the people in that bookstore where it has gone, and if they are still selling Philosophy...

He's slipped back into the quiet uncharted space between the worlds. He reckoned 10 years was enough and decided to hang up his chiton.
He did say he might pop back for the occasional guest appearance, though.
