There was a woodpeck who enjoyed a good pick
while conceiving an entirely new trick.
When a magpie came to check
all the latest on the deck
she experienced out of nowhere a weird flick.

Re: Irish Pub
There was a circumstance that arranged just for me
a whole day full of pancakes and tea.
At the end of the day
as I lay in dismay
the weak pancreas chared a fairly high fee.

Re: Irish Pub
There was a puppy who moved slowly along
on a path that might have been all wrong.
When he ran out of look
and could see he was stuck
he sat down and moved on in a song.

There was a bullock befriending a bard
and his blasphemous joker´s card
made the poet retreat
in a mood of defeat
when he wandered in Dublin unhard.

Some good solution needs to be found somehow.
I don´t have one but if well-intentioned people relax and forward peace maybe a solution will occurr to someone.

Re: Irish Pub
There was a stranger who preferred to let go of acquaintance he considered a foe. A quaint miser was much not to argue as such but to look at from above and below. What is magical about limericks is that you compose rhyming words and then try to find some sense in them. It can be very intellectually...

Re: Irish Pub
There was a plague that was roaming at large
and some people tried to hide on a barge.
Then they saw the bargee
and they asked for some tea
but he served them milk, muffins and marge.
A good recording a day keeps misery away.

Irish Pub
There was a nice neighbour close by whose presence felt natural, that´s why he was never a bother and I felt in green clover when his face would appear in the sky. How about having a good time on this thread ? While waiting for the plague to pass. A limerick a day keeps depression away, I would say....

How about voice samples ?
I discovered librivox.org and I am married to my mp3 player at the moment. A voice can express so much. How about some of you making a recording of their succinct wisdom and posting it here as an mp3 file ? Then we could download such a file and listen to the words of wisdom while walking in the woo...

Re: What is Wrong with me (my malfunction)????
Some of us don´t watch films often. I haven´t seen any of those you listed.
James Cameron is an incredible man. I read his biography. He risked his life personally many times so that people in the cinema say "WOW".
His life would be a nice film for me, but nobody has made it yet.

Re: Free ebooks and copyright ?
50 would be even better. I would not like to steal from a writer who tries hard to survive. But if a writer is dead for a long time and doesn´t have any earthly needs any more he will enjoy attention posthumously. So the copyright makes sense to me. But why is pdf free and other fonts not ? On an It...

Free ebooks and copyright ?
There are free e-books on the internet, for example in the PDF format. So it seems everybody can download them and read, the works are of writers who are dead and the works were published 100 years ago or earlier. And yet the website with these e-books quotes a "copyright". How can it be ? I wouldn´...

It could be the feeling of a small partial victory.
You manage to roll a heavy stone for just one meter.
Or you manage to achieve something small in your simple life, like cooking a nice meal, making a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Re: Coronavirus
What´s the worst case scenario ? If everybody in the world gets the virus not everybody will die. Only 2 per cent die, it seems to me. Mainly people with asthma and heavy smokers probably. I am sorry for the Chinese and don´t cast stones at them. They also eat locusts and other tiny animals and we c...
