Re: Belief

To think you need to believe.

In fact, thought has nothing really sure on which to rely absolutely. It must always believe in the stability of its concepts.

Thinking does not consist in building something with bricks, but in leaping forward.
Therefore it needs to believe.

Re: What is a soul?

I would still like to know what a soul is, if anyone has come up with any ideas. It would also be interesting to know what reason there is to think there even is such a thing as a soul. The reason why there is a soul is that if it weren't there you would be nothing. And in fact the soul is not ther...

Re: Does God have a reason why killing human is immoral?

God has no reason, if he had he wouldn't be God. Because God would be that reason and not God himself. God is the Absolute. So absolute freedom. He is free from any reason other than himself. It is Chaos. And as far as we are concerned it is Nothingness. Therefore what is right and what is wrong can...

Re: Greater good theodicy, toy worlds, invincible arguments

Evil is not the problem.
Evil is what keeps us going home.

Indeed without evil we would be lost.
Because everything is played on our rejection of evil.

That the absolute Good is depends on me.
God needs me.

Re: Philosophy Question

If the Truth were on the table you couldn't be there.

Because existence is possible only insofar as the Truth does not exist.

Re: How could Satan possibly tempt Jesus if He is God?

Satan is the inner voice of Jesus. It is the temptation that arises in us when we think we have some power. The road to God is fraught with obstacles. One of these is the risk of falling into the delirium of the will to power. What do you mean by the inner voice of Jesus? Someone cannot tempt Himse...

I too was much loved.

And that's exactly what I'm asked to do: love.

But it's hard to truly love, you have to be God.

K1Barin wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 9:17 pm What can be a better reason for the mathematical Logic to be in command of the whole universe but there is a Loving God.
Love moves everything.
It has only one goal: the One.

Even logic is nothing but an expression of love in search of God.

God loves himself.

Re: The meaning of life

Reality cannot be false, because falsehood is non-being. Nope. False and true are words used to describe if something is accurate about something else. Of course parts of reality can be false. You think some of my assertions are false. Your claims are never false in themselves. Because nothing is e...

Re: The meaning of life

Denying what I am is also an expression of my being. Not just. It's a denial of the expression of other parts of your being. It's real, but false. I am not a whole of parts. Can you really think you are a composition of distinct parts? Where parts of you deny the truth of other parts of yourself? W...

Re: The meaning of life

So, to 'you', "bobmax", the answer to the question, 'Who am 'I'?' is 'the Truth', right? Is it possible to answer "Am I the falsehood?" Can you be the fake? Beware, not knowing falsehood, but BEING falsehood. Is it possible? And is the answer universal? Can some know and others ...

Re: The meaning of life

Well considering the Fact that you ARE lost 'now', in the days when this is being written, does this then MEAN that 'life' does have a clear reason? I'm not lost just because there is no clear reason for life. Well WHY THEN are you lost? If there were, I would be dominated by this reason. Which you...
