Re: they're both racist

Again, I don't know why you think I am supporting the man, rather than saying, as I am saying, he's right to be concerned about the term white privilege, but wrong to propose referral to Prevent. Rather I suggest those using the term white privilege should be prosecuted for inciting racial hatred. ...

Re: they're both racist

I'm surprised you heeded my warning. I didn't think you'd be able to resist - I had a whole speech prepared about how subjectivist post modernists can't dictate the meaning of the term "white privilege" because it's in the eye of the beholder. In your dogma - I don't know if you're aware ...

Re: Please add a 'climate' section.

Status of the Magma Energy Project NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) Dunn, J. C. The current magma energy project is assessing the engineering feasibility of extracting thermal energy directly from crustal magma bodies. The estimated size of the U.S. resource (50,000 to 500,000 quads) suggests a c...

Re: Please add a 'climate' section.

.... I'm posting my argument in General Philosophy - competing with the likes of Veg and Age in particular... I only need about £50bn - which in my view, is a very reasonable price to pay to reconcile green agendas with defending Liberty! If you succeed in doing so, do you think getting the better ...

Re: Please add a 'climate' section.

Climate change is an existential issue, it's important, it's going to be a subject forever, has enormous implications across science, economics, politics; it deserves it's own section. Makes complete sense! Unfortunately, it will require more forest immolations, heat deaths, floods, etc., before it...

Re: What do you think? Do we live in a simulation?

I don't know; and I know I don't know. Maybe, but how else can I proceed than as if we do not? Same goes for Gods, aliums, ghosts, horoscopes, crystal skulls, yeti, nessie and monsters under the bed. Can't rule them out because, problem of induction - can't rule them in for lack of proof. So I focus...

Re: Death Penalty.

... very, very, very few people, ... are wrongly convicted these days ... Why should anyone be wrongly convicted of anything? How much wrong is OK with you? And what's the point? If you think the purpose of punishment is to protect others, how may have to be punshed before it's enough. "If we ...

I'm surprised you think that statue toppling is less sneaky than that guy speaking his admittedly poor excuse for a mind. Slavery existed all around the world since the dawn of time; it is inherent to the human condition, and was only overcome by developing capitalist economics based on individuali...

Re: Death Penalty.

So in short… very, very, very few people, if any are wrongly convicted these days… However, woe to fourth very. You miss the point that DC Candler is talking about all crimes; so of that 0.2% - only a few would be serious crimes, and these would be reviewed by a panel to determine the nature of the...
