Re: People want to be their own gods. Is that good or evil?
Let's discuss the myth. Yahweh is shown as a genocidal and infanticidal god. Second statement first: You state your opinion. As stated it does not seem to be even close to a fact. Philosophically stated "facts" are called propositions, which are usually followed by evidence. First stateme...

Re: Why Be Moral?
Thus there is a need for a more thorough Secular Framework and System of Morality that has completeness and is efficient and can adapt to changes for the greater good. I respect that, but consider this, from the New Testament: "Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is the same yesterday, today and foreve...

Anyone can believe their 'moral' assumptions are sound, but how do one know these assumptions are actually related to 'morality-proper' and how do one justified they are sound? Good question. So I will give you my best an...

Re: Philosophical questions
Nice of you to say so. I completely forgot this post. Now that you reminded me of it, I confess, it barely sounds familiar though still of the same opinion. If all of reality, the seen and the unseen completely dissolves into a virtual Nothing, impurities will remain which I like to think of as inf...

Re: Hello, I just arrived
Hey there. Pilgrim brings to mind 1620 and the Mayflower, John Wayne, Eric Clapton. I heard recently that an epidemic more than decimated Indian tribes along coastal North America before 1620. Something to check out one of these days. Yes, something to check out one of these days. So, tell me, what...
