Re: Henry Quirk must be shut down

It is amazing to me that common sense has become appreciated as group think. Yet they are entirely different. Emerson wrote: “Common sense is genius dressed in its working clothes.” Obviously group think by definition is not genius. Maybe genius as opposed to an exaggerated talent we call genius re...

By the way, who is your Judge?
Everybody, including myself.
If you include yourself then you have a very harsh judge indeed.

Maybe that Judge is all that was needed to be 'convinced', and had already been?
So, the judge realized that He is God yet persecuted Him.
They feared more for their position than the afterlife, if they believed in the afterlife at all.

He could save his life and continue His teaching instead He preferred not to and got hanged on the crosse at the end saying oh God why did You forsaken me?
Jesus had taught all he needed to teach, it was time for him to preform the final act.

Re: Henry Quirk must be shut down

You really believe all that, you're a good Buddhist. It’s an experience-based explanation known and recognized by experienced meditators, rather rudimentary but it does get to the root of the thought process, and reveals the arbitrary nature of thought as a baseline for understanding thought....

Re: Henry Quirk must be shut down

Both common sense and gullibility branch from the same mundane, samsaric root, thus distinguishing one from the other in terms of transcending samsara (supramundane view) is ultimately a false division. The swindler Bernie Madoff appealed to common sense, not gullibility. In the true dichotomy of c...

Re: "Free will was given to man by god."

Don't need to. If you have even a rudimentary understanding of theological controversies, you would already know. So will anybody else who checks. Moreover, if you had any sociological statistics, you would likewise know you're wrong. The only way you could maintain your position is literally by be...

That's because you rely on false dichotomies. I don't see a dichotomy in anything I have said, please show me where? Re: Henry Quirk must be shut down

Common sense is the mundane sense, or mundane view of the world, which leads to samsara. The other category of view, or influence, is the supramundane, i.e., transcending the mundane. I'd rather be mundane than believe anything that comes along. Btw,the false dichotomy of common sense vs acceptance...

I'm Mannie's disreputable cousin from the wrong side of the tracks). Yeah, but he makes good moonshine, so I cut him some slack. If Christianity is true: all the still juice in the world won't save my keister come Judgement, Mannie. But drink enough 'still juice' and you won't care where you end up...

Re: EVIL!!!!!!!!

A distinction? Yes. But not one of the same value, apparently. The Nazis had a very different way of describing that situation: that the progress of the race was being impeded by people who had an unhealthy sympathy with "vermin," and thus did not yet grasp that the Master Race must be created for ...
