Re: The Free Will Pill
Am I the only one who sees a problem in choosing a pill without free will?
You can't decide to take a free will pill, without possessing free will, which you don't have, because it's in the pill!

Re: How does the blind matter behave accordingly?
Our equations are descriptions of observed behavior. Matter does not follow any instructions.
It has been written many times that the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west. But it would do so, even if nobody ever wrote about it.

Re: Religion Is .....
Religion is like a review of half a movie, written by someone many years ago. In that review they make their own conclusions how the movie ends.
Science is a rejection of that review, by someone who watched the whole movie.

Re: Regrets. I've had a few
I've got six regrets that'd I'd change, if I got the chance. Most of them was from before I became an adult. All of them are 100% - no hesitation - give me a Groundhog day, please - regrets. And by the way, the '69 "My Way" song is a cover, not a Sinatra original. It was first recorded in ...

Does QF collide with physicalism?
We know for a fact that Q uantum F luctuation creates matter from nothing. Proof from 2011: https://phys.org/news/2011-11-scientists-vacuum.html And that matter is energy/information. So, doesn't that conflict with physicalism? Isn't materialism dead? How can anyone still hold on to that? Are their ...

Islam is equal to a prison
Islam is something most of its members are born into. They are practically brainwashed from childhood to think Islamic. Since they were impressionable, naive, innocent kids, they have been told that Muhammad lived "the perfect life" according to "Allah, the most gracious and powerful&...

Re: Does the Human Brain Create or Receive Consciousness?
Our body (and brain) is probably just an avatar. No more real than a holograph.

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

Re: Let's kill God - that evil SOB
Dawkins is a hack! *mindless one shouthing "fire" in the theater.....to sell his books. Dawkins assumes the only OT YHWH is the one in the Torah. well its not, there is another YHWH - the one in the other 1/2 of the Old Testement - the one written about by the Minor Prophets. Amos/ job/ H...

Re: Let's kill God - that evil SOB
The undoing of religion are heavily suggested in various scriptures. Bible - Book of Revelation: "and i saw no temple in the city (New Jerusalem) Buddha predicted that 5000 years after his death, him and all his teachings will be forgotten. Prophecy of the Popes only foretells of 113 "pop...

Re: Let's kill God - that evil SOB
My goodness, such a naïve perspective. Did it ever occur to you that maybe there would be a lot less mass murdering done by those who shout that particular rebel yell if there were a lot less instances of evil western imperialists invading their sovereign lands (covertly and overtly) in order to ga...

Let's kill God - that evil SOB
Let's assume for a moment that God exists, and that the Old Testament describes him. If we soberly and honestly analyze that description, we get something similar to Richard Dawkins description: The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud ...
