Re: What is tolerance?
Instead of switching to the worst religion in the world, I think it's better to actually act like a man. And then suddenly there will be plenty of faithful women in the West too.

Re: Slow Connection or Slow Server?
My guess would be that one of the AIs received an update that makes them scour internet forums for whatever reason. Not machine learning, just search. There seems to be a roughly equal number of these bots in every subforum, maybe they are scouring every single topic.

Re: Let's talk about parallel universe...
Parallel universe is a real tricky topic, for example, whether it is " INDEPENDENT parallel universe " or " ALL-CONNECTED cross universe" ,etc.... All jokes aside, the all-connected cross universe topic is pretty high level philosophy. Where even the human mind is a complex mult...

Re: Let's talk about parallel universe...
I can't think of anything to say about parallel universes. What is there to say? 🤔 You could say they are parallel. You could also say they are universes. Those things have already been said, and I can't think of anything useful to add. There is a universe where IC is considerate, empathetic and ev...

Re: Morality is objective is not even wrong. It is a statement without any meaning what ever.
*** Let us set the record straight on this idiotc question that keeps coming up "Is moraltiy sujective or objective", " "what would it take?" etc.. The whole problem seem to be a mischaracterisation of what the subject/object argument is all about. Things are not objective ...

Re: Why search for moral objectivity?
Throughout history, it never even occured to 90%+ of people that morality could be anything other than objective. Such a concept, such a possibility didn't even exist for them. Wanting it / valuing it / searching for it, didn't enter the picture for them. Those people lived in little mud villages w...

Re: Christian Civilization -- The Central Issue
I think we have to go back to the very root of the founding of our civilization: it really does have to do with a realness of relationship with that which made us — i.e. our creator. It all depends on how serious one takes that — and life itself really. It's the 21st century, what about the countle...

Mathemathical axiom: "necessary existence is a positive property" P(NE)
This is the kind of axiom I can just keep staring at, and I don't even know how to come up with a framework in which I can start to address how much this does not compute

Re: Complexity, deception and Occam
That's a pathetic answer, roy. You don't get the TRUTH, but I'll help you out. You have to stop thinking by shutting down your neocortex, let the reptilian brain handle things from there. Developing NPD or something similar, by doing so. Once you are a pure non-thinking malignant narcissist, nothin...

Re: Complexity, deception and Occam
And how do you suppose your theory/philosophy, whatever you want to call it, is going to make the world a better place? It is revealing the singular fundamental source of all problems and suffering, and the cure. The cure is to silence thought. The voice in consciousness is deceiving you and all of...

Still the greatest philosopher of all time. Never mind that, but why is his billiard table deep neon blue? It's royal purple. And how much pool have you played? Is there any reason why it shouldn't be the color it is (it couldn't possibly be any other color and if you knew as much as you think you ...

Re: Moral Compass
His analogy gets even more wrong when we consider that life is seen as negentropic. (At the expense of the entropy of the environment.)
