Should I pay my roommate for me using more electricity?
Recently we will have a two week long holiday, my two roommates are going home and I 'm the only one who stay at the house we share. The electricity bill and the water bill of us is being calculated by averaging our usage, for example, if the bill says it is 9 dollars, then each of us (3 persons in ...

Re: Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860)
The greatest problem of his theory is this: he insists that behind the real world there is something ugly, a dark energy called 'the will' that dictates the real world, that the real world is merely an expression of this dark energy that lies behind, yet he provides no valid evidence for this. The w...

Re: Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860)
I used to consider him a great philosopher, but as I grow older I realize his ideas is just one of many incomplete explanation we give to our world just like others'.
For example, his theory can not be used to explain things like 'anorexia' with ease.

Re: Should a good Christian overthrown God?
Is there any Christian here that can defeat my arguement? 8) 8) 8) I'm an atheist and I think that your argument is utter shite. The entire bit with the North Korean hymn serves no logical purpose, it's not at all clear that Christians have a special obligation to overthrow kings, dictators or tyra...

Re: Is North Korea successful?
I think you're too focused on shifting the blame from the philosophical concept of where communism originates, to this ideology that means whatever it is you just said - rather than examining the individual policies and determining where it lands on a political compass. I mean, NK is anti-capitalis...

Re: Is North Korea successful?
Anyway, their current military capabilities don't concern me at all. As I've had to bring up a few times before, NK is operating on soviet union 1960-80 ICBM technology, except they have even less of a power grid. Even back then, America could successfully shoot down the soviet ICBMs. My main conce...

Re: Is North Korea successful?
Uhhhhhh what. I mean, the constitution of North Korea describes itself as a Social-communism. I can see why you don't think it's a socialist state, although from what I understand it's a nation with social policies that are just very poor, but let's just be clear that authoritarianism doesn't have ...

Re: Is North Korea successful?
It all depends on your nationality, if you were American, a vegetable state might happen to you  I don't know what you mean by that, do you know what you mean? Anyway, I'm not American. Re: Is North Korea successful?
Honestly, If you went there you will be treated like a hero escaping from the evil west. Of course, as long as you remain loyal to the good old Kim    Maybe I'll stay where I am just in case your Russian friend's account is not 100% trustworthy. It all depends on your nationality,...

Re: Ways the North Korean Problem Can be Resolved
1) Full scale American attack on North Korea to end present regime and establish new regime, or consolidate both North and South Korea with a democratic election. 2) Allow China to take over North Korea by force to become part of China. Let's look at the Iran deal: Obama agrees to pay Iran millions...
