Re: Anselm’s ontological argument is wrong

If a pantheist believes that God is the universe and God has no parts, they're not going to believe that the universe is made of parts. Or if they believe that God is the universe and the universe is made of parts, they're not going to believe that God has no parts. Otherwise show me an actual exam...

Re: Anselm’s ontological argument is wrong

Electron, poroton, me, you, etc. The "bounds" which separate something as being a "part" from the whole system are completely arbitrary. What makes a "unit" a unit is but a matter of abstraction. There's no "me" and "you" except colloquially. There's us as a whole. There's no "proton" and "electron...

Re: Anselm’s ontological argument is wrong

Pantheists believe that God is the universe. God however has no part. The universe is made of parts. If a pantheist believes that God is the universe and God has no parts, they're not going to believe that the universe is made of parts. Or if they believe that God is the universe and the universe i...

Re: Anselm’s ontological argument is wrong

?? What pantheist would think that there are parts that are not "part of the whole/God"? God as an entity cannot have parts. So what's the answer to the pantheist who would think "There are parts that are not 'part of the whole/God'"? It sounds like you'd say that no pantheist would say that. Panth...

So?
Pantheism is incoherent since there are parts that are not part of the whole/God.

In the case of the premise the 'greatest in all respects' must then have to be 'boundless reality' thus god is defined as boundless reality...
That leads to pantheism.

Re: Anselm’s ontological argument is wrong

God is defined as the greatest in all respects. Reality is boundless therefore the greatest does not exist. Therefore, there is no God. In the case of the premise the 'greatest in all respects' must then have to be 'boundless reality' thus god is defined as boundless reality... That leads to panthe...

They are. I investigated them carefully. They talk to me and their behaviors are coherent. Like me and you. Ideas need only to be internally consistent to be internally useful, but you're communicating this idea externally. Yes, the source of that communication is outside of my mind. I can justify ...

Re: The Mind is a Physical Thing

Since it is inevitable and there are no benefits why worry with the future, in this case the idea is false anyway. However for the majority, especially theists, there are psychological benefits in clinging on the to idea of surviving physical death even it is not provable and false. You are not awa...

Re: On assumptions...

So, once again, you agree exactly with what I have been saying and pointing out here, correct? No, you totally were against the idea of assuming. LOL I was NEVER totally against the idea of assuming. What I was totally against was what 'you' and "others" were claiming was absolutely true, right, an...
