Re: "Free will was given to man by god."

It's all in your mind. Actually, it's all written down here in the forum...and it has been pointed out to you repeatedly. But I guess that's inconsequential to what's all in your mind. So, a man who demonstrates personal blindness and denial in regard to himself and what he has said, and who accuse...

I've pointed to examples of your distortion, projection, and dishonesty right here on the forum. You repeatedly accuse people of believing and being all kinds of things that are not true. Why don't you address that, and explain why you resort to that?

I don't have to have my eyes ripped out of my skull to understand that havin' my eyes ripped out of my skull is not a good thing.

Okay... we've expressed our different perspectives... laughing is a good place to leave it. Thanks.

Re: "Like most Straw polls this one is incoherent."

… Thanks for your response voicing your conclusive, inflexible positions. No surprises, but entertaining none-the-less. The world needs such thinking, apparently, as an example of potential extremes to rebound away from. :D Have you ever met men who are very feminine, and women who are very masculi...

Re: "Like most Straw polls this one is incoherent."

when it comes to gender, it's all very simple and straight forward. A man can become a woman (gender is fluid), or, a man cannot become a woman (gender is fixed). There's no in-between position. Why have you concluded that there are no in-between positions? Can it vary depending on people? Fluid or...

Saying the 'world is not black and white' is too black and white.
How would you say it?

How about, the world is not limited to black and white. Better?

Re: "Free will was given to man by god."

I have learned both by experience in life and online that the idea of one ultimate truth from which creation has emerged cannot be intellectually rejected What you and I have "learned/experienced" is different. That difference does not make me emotional and you intellectual. The idea of an "u...

Re: "Like most Straw polls this one is incoherent."

The world is not black and white. To think only in black and white is to be extraordinarily limited, perhaps for the purpose of claiming to know ultimate truth and rightness, which is surely the workings of the ego in its quest for controlling reality in a self-serving way. Not about a black and wh...

Re: Minimalist Society

"If any society starting out were to only have TEN rules to make, what rules would you choose?" Oh boy! Please add these to the list for the new society: 1) Respect all life. 2) Be responsible and accountable for yourself and what you contribute to greater society. 3) Any religious beliefs are for ...

Re: "Free will was given to man by god."

how is it that people can end up in all kinds of ways, despite having similar encounters, influences, and circumstances? If these things are what create/mold the individual, then there would not be people who explore or think or function beyond their circumstances or experiences. I see how you feel...

Re: "Free will was given to man by god."

I don't know why you said this. It seems strange to me. B is a determinist. Everything and -one is assessed as dominos fallin'. Accordin' to B, you're not much more than a link in a causal chain. She, B, sees herself in the same way. I, on the other hand, see you as a cause , an agent . Funny how t...

Re: "Free will was given to man by god."

Nick, I think your honest answers to these questions and challenges will provide more clarity on what we each see. We learned that deeper discussion on the depth of the esoteric ideas within Plato's Cave allegory are too insulting and controversial to discuss. Who is "we"? Maybe you are mistaken abo...
