Re: Why is nazism popular today?

But if you succumb to self deception and lies, you might as well be dead. The problem with that is the one's who fall for it don't know they're falling for it. That may be due to stupidity or plain ignorance, mostly the former who are immune to explanation and don't realize they're stupid and so ha...

Re: What accounts for Western high death rates?

Freedom only refers to a subset of allowances. It has never to any degree been absolute. Freedom itself is structured by rules.

Re: Why is nazism popular today?

Or perhaps we need to rethink what we mean by "God". Do we mean the Judeo-Christian God as described in the Bible or do we mean something else? If one must believe, something else would be preferable to an old and obvious outworn historical fiction. The science of "evolution" seems pretty solid so ...

Re: Why is nazism popular today?

Strategies are not forever. Change is immanent in all things especially in ways of thinking. A bacterium which may have appeared friendly at one time can easily invert its features in another. One learns to the end of one's life. During that period god either appears as Principle or vanishes forever...

Re: do people choose their religion?

If most humans live and die with the religion that they are born with from their family or society that they didn't choose, how come God rewards/punishes us for something that we didn't even choose? It's not god and never was who's doing the rewarding or punishing but the culture itself which impos...

Re: What is Wisdom in Atheist Philosophy?

Not being fooled by illusions in thinking some divine power gives a crap about humans...for one thing. Clearly you are fooled by the illusion of REAL_IT_Y. ...the most obvious illusion to be fooled by! All the other ones aren't even 3rd rate. In short, I'm still trying to figure out the one I'm sup...

Re: Mind has no location

In here we discuss that the reality is made of two things, minds and ideas. Minds are not due to/subjected to ideas. Therefore, they have no location. A lot of people on farce forums, aka, philosophy forums make use of what they have while at the same time denying that they have it or can't locate ...

Re: Science Is All Lies: Prove me wrong

Hi. I believe that the sciences are purely human inventions and when we impose upon them the status of 'truth' we falsify them with our oversized egos. They can't really exist outside of our little heads. Yeah, but if the outside conforms with the inside of our little heads as our little heads have...

Of course not. That's not how arguments work, actually. An argument is intended to show a rational person what he/she is in the most rational position to think is so; that's all.
On that I agree.

Re: What could make morality objective?

Ontological arguments on god's existence are nothing more than mind games on a non-entity. Such arguments at the end no-longer have anything to do with god but are merely mental duels between opposing views whose probability is as void as god's existence. For example, Robert Maydole has a "Temporal...

Re: What is Wisdom in Atheist Philosophy?

Atheism requires neither wisdom or philosophy. It simply defaults to what history, science and experience proclaim it to be; a universe devoid of god or as we imagine god to be. Atheism openly annuls the illusion of any necessity for any centralized controlling power. Thanks. :D So, for you as an a...
