Re: Is Knowing the Truth Enough?

1. I would posit that assets that pollute the environment or injure people are the problem more than love of money. But why are assets, which pollute the environment or injure people, still in existence for, if not for the love of money? Remove the 'love of money', then the assets that pollute and ...

Re: What or Who Are The Jinn? (Goddess Sarasvati's Riddle)

I'm in a house now. Every time I go out, there are people and things and others that I can see. But I cannot see them now. Neither can I see the ancients, nor the future generations, nor those who are far away. Neither can I see them nor can I feel them. It's easy to forget that they are real and s...

Re: What Are You Living For?

What you are, the kind of being you are, is also determined by what you choose and do. Your life is yours to make of it whatever you choose, but you will not choose anything if you do not aspire to anything. If you have no desire to achieve anything or ambition to accomplish anything, if you don't ...

Re: Is Knowing the Truth Enough?

Most of the people have no respect for what is wise and true. They don't think critically, and neither do they listen to those who do. Plato was the first to introduce the ideal of the philosopher king. The philosophers will likely reject the idea due to the notion that no one should have absolute ...

Re: idealism v. pragmatism

The problem with idealism and pragmatism is that some people are not idealists and some people are not pragmatic.

If you google M3 Money Supply you will see that there are many things which aren't money of the sort you can put into a bank account that are used in such a way that they behave as money and their supply has to be taken into account when working out how much money to print or destroy in order to ma...

Re: What is your opinion on Wealth disparities?

My opinion on wealth disparity: No one should be a pauper who regularly does his work diligently. That's the real issue, in my opinion. I couldn't care less if Jeff Bezos have a mansion or two. The people who work for him should have reasonable accommodations.

Re: Debate about How to Solve the Major Problems of Society

Of course you cannot judge any individual's motives, because you cannot know them. I'm talking about what every politician, welfare worker, do-gooder, and social justice warrior quite loudly and annoyingly claims as their compassionate, caring, sympathetic, empathetic virtue to excuse their meddlin...

A House Oppressed

A house oppressed cannot stand. Moses knew that; and hence, tried to emancipate his own people. Yet, Moses missed one very oppressive person, himself. Even Jesus, found the urge to oppress his own people to be too enticing, threatening without mercy. If you wish to be king of the world, emancipate y...

Re: Debate about How to Solve the Major Problems of Society

I have realized that my thinking method may in fact be inferior to debate. So I have devised a control experiment. In this topic/thread I would like to see a debate about how to solve the root causes of the major problems of society. Then we can judge whether debate or my proposed thinking method w...
