This Society will be hosting a series of lectures entitled "Philosophy and Literature: An Introduction". These lectures will commence in early September at Cheshire Homes, John's Hill, Waterford City. For further information please phone/text me at 0857238001
Many major literary figures had an active interest in Philosophy. These lectures will detail the ways in which Philosophy became a formative influence for writers such as Beckett, Hardy, Murdoch and Mann. Philosophers to be discussed in this context include: Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, and Schopenhauer. No prior knowledge of either Philosophy or Literature is necessary for those wishing to attend.
