Karl R. Popper`s book The Open Universe: An Argument for Indeterminism

http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/~francois/S ... opper.htmlThe book concerns the question: Is reality deterministic? Although Popper does not address directly the issue of free will, he does recognize that his thesis does apply to this issue. If the world is deterministic, then a priori, the work of Newton, Einstein, Mozart and Nietzsche have to be seen only as the solution of the deterministic equations that describe the world, a view that Popper refuses. His thesis attempts to show that there is room –even a small room and even a small room outside quantum mechanics–, for indeterminism and for creativity to stay an object of pure mystery and intuition.
