Happy V/A day to all the victims of power struggle out there. It's not your fault. You were young and thought you were "serving" your country. It was an honorable sentiment and I'm sorry you were put through that.

I think veterans should be able to sue the government or government officials for wrongful and deceptive enlisting practices. The veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions could then maybe sue George Bush Jr. After Bush runs out of money he could repay people with paintings. I've heard that, like Hitler, he's an unusually competent painter.

Do you those who enlisted (volunteered) differently from those who were drafted?

They want to "serve" a "worthy" cause. The propaganda they all internalize is the same, encouraging "service" and "duty" in the face of an evil enemy, for which they think they are doing a great thing for society. Many people want to do great things for their society. Unfortunately, many are lied to and deceived into thinking that fighting in the invasion of other countries is doing one's "duty" or "serving" one's society. In the end, it just undermines us all when our military does evil, except perhaps arms manufacturers.

The one who attacks is also the orc and the ogre.
And the hero is the one who defends.

Do you not realise that it is supposed to be a solemn occasion?

There has not been a just war since 1945, and I'm not so sure about that.

So your proposal is what? No military?

So why how come the UK own an island in the south Atlantic?

I'm not proposing anything. But people that choose to kill and be shot at are not on the same level, as those forced by conscription against their will to fight.

Why should they not? Are you going to suggest UK should have handed it over to Argentina?

Better if 'you', human beings, just kept 'your hands' to "yourselves", as some say, and STOP 'taking things' and/or PRETENDING 'you' 'own things'.
