I have not seen "surreptitious57" here for quite a while now. "he“ did mention that "he" was going to keep reading here but may not respond anymore. For a while there was nothing from "him" but a few months ago now there was one response, but that was the last one I noticed.

Maybe you should do what I try to do when I give people money that they don't pay me back, just write it off and let them have it. It's better than starting a feud over it.

What difference is it going to make? It seems to me that there are always those who will take money without paying it back or giving anything in return for it. It's not like I'm going to change their minds about that. They're going to do it anyway.

The only phone calls my mother and I get anymore are from people trying to con us into giving them our financial information. It's not like me revealing that there's nothing I can do about it if they succeed is news to them or will change anything in their behavior.
