I would tend to trust downward hierarchical diffusion of the general idea that lifestyle changes not drugs are needed.
Meat eating is something else. It's not going to be possible for everyone to eat meat, or not much animal sourced foodstuff including dairy and fish. It will have to be second class protein and vegetable oils.
