Step 3) add hot water to doodles bag.
Step 4) fold doodles bag, tighten with rubber band, and place in secure location to 'cook' for five minutes. Guard with shank if necessary.

Step 5) carefully open bag along seam, fold out to make plate, and enjoy as a tasty cracker topping.

I found a class in my area that's giving free certification training for vaginal steaming (called 'yoni') and I think I'm gonna go.

Re: True Story of the Day
who was it that said 'a philosopher thinks of nothing less than death' or something like that. anyway i wuz at the starbucks on the patio under the sun drinking a brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso and reading my 'Genie; a scientific tragedy' paperback and i noted how everyone around me, myself included, were all just hanging out enjoying ourselves and having a good ol' time as if we weren't ever going to die.
and i thought up an odd experiment to discover whether or not, how much and in what way, knowing and remembering you're going to die might make any difference at any given moment. being immediately aware of it at all times, i mean, reminded of it over and over again, etc. imagine a world where the phrase 'you're going to die' appears and is repeated everywhere, all the time. signs, billboards, news feeds, advertisements, on media platforms and in content, even in ritual personal greetings... instead of 'have a nice day' the cashier says 'you're going to die' as she hands you your change and receipt. that kind of thing. where you can't make it a hundred feet or five minutes without somewhere seeing or hearing the sullen phrase once again 'you're going to die'. it's on the radio as you drive. buildings and banners everywhere boast it. everyone you talk to says it either when you first meet, as you talk, or when you depart.
.... conditions will be sunny and breezy reaching temperatures in the upper seventies today as we get into the weekend. I'm so and so with news channel six, and you're going to die. Back to you, Norm.

reckon I'm doing a storage building now mm-hm. gonna put a little porch deck on the front there about five feet out. that'll give us two or three steps up... not sure yet.
9/12 pitch roof with a twelve inch overhang on sides and gable ends. gonna do PVC fascia and hardiplank soffit and siding. basically gotta match the style of the house so that this looks like a miniature version of it. got a vinyl single hung window going in there too i reckon. floor's gonna be that faux hardwood tongue'n groove stuff mm-hm. Roof'll be that plastic corrugated stuff that looks like metal roofing. gonna build the whole sonofabitch, turn key.
ran me a ledger on the bands to avoid buying joist hangers and used 2x6 joists. need'ta run us some 10" 1/2" galvanized through bolts into those 6x6s. we'll stagger two bolts per band end, so four per 6x6. might oughta run us some cross bracing between 6x6s too. code don't call for it but it wouldn't hurt I don't reckon.
I'll make yuns a carpenter-cam video when i get the roof going. need to find a feller'ta help me set the ridge. need em for about thirty minutes but I'll pay him a flat fifty i reckon. hell ain't no point in even coming out there for less than fifty dollars mm-hm.

My builder died. I could do with one if you are out this way some time.promethean75 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 10:33 pm reckon I'm doing a storage building now mm-hm. gonna put a little porch deck on the front there about five feet out. that'll give us two or three steps up... not sure yet.

i never do work for a person who's had a builder die on em. The property and/or proprietor (you) might be cursed.

He didn't die 'on' me. He also did work for a lot of people. Anyway, your work looks a bit shoddy to me...promethean75 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 5:57 pm i never do work for a person who's had a builder die on em. The property and/or proprietor (you) might be cursed.

Okay Bob Vila, i know what you're thinking. i shoulda put a header over that window but i really don't need to because it's a twenty seven inch span and there's no load bearing point there. and I didn't put crips above that door header cuz it's not even a four inch space. i don't need crips there for the siding or drywall.

Don't try to blind me with your 'jargon', smart arse yank. My grandfather taught me how to pay attention to detail, and his family went back centuries as builders.promethean75 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 11:07 pm Okay Bob Vila, i know what you're thinking. i shoulda put a header over that window but i really don't need to because it's a twenty seven inch span and there's no load bearing point there. and I didn't put crips above that door header cuz it's not even a four inch space. i don't need crips there for the siding or drywall.

Well that's just going to sag. Cross brace should be going the opposite way. And why would you have the hinges on the 'good' side?promethean75 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 12:57 am alright u want shoddy work I'll give u shoddy work. here's a set of gates i built a while ago. for two points, what did i do wrong?
