I'd like to hear everybody's favorite quote!
It can be about anything.

Re: Favorite Quote?
My favorite quote is from my big hero Niels Bohr:
"Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real."
"Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real."

I believe it was Edmund Hillary about Mt Everest as to why he climbed it.Philosophy Explorer wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 10:47 pmI think a mountain climber also said this.Impenitent wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 10:28 pm "Because it was there" - The reply the chicken gave to the proverbial question...

It was George Mallory and he said "Because it's there" about Mt Everest. He didn't make it, dying in his 3rd attempt.

'Fuck this!'
--- probably my last, dying words.
Hey, did I ever mention I was almost run over by a mobile ice cream vendor, playing that happy music? What an absurd way that would have been to go.

It ain’t what they call you, it’s what you answer to.
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.
Never try to impress a woman, because if you do she’ll expect you to keep up the standard for the rest of your life.
No doubt exists that all women are crazy; it’s only a question of degree.*
* Jordan Peterson and Camille Paglia discuss this same topic.
