That's like asking whether dreams can create dreams of their own and the answer to that is sometimes they do.

Holograms are the dream.

The dream and the dreamer are the same one.

So the holograms can dream too.

True holograms are not even logically possible. Maybe inside a vacuum with a strong man-made magnetic field, although light would still not disperse like it does in star wars. The closest science will get is VR. The idea that we can stop light without a stopping force contradicts the law of reflection.
