I'd like to think I'm a realist. But as many people, as many opinions.

Realists are pessimists in the core.

Then drugs will be a pretty good antidote to pessimism?! :D

Depends on how deep the pessimism was, and also type of pessimism too.
Not all pessimists are same. Not all realists are same.
Not all drugs are same.

Isn't death part of life? Because without life, there is no death.
Yes, there could not be death if there is no life but what this has to do with meaning?
Zarathustra wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 12:06 pm
If death is part of life, then it seems possible to define the meaning of life.
What is the meaning of life to you?
I am a seeker. Seeking for the meaning of life is the meaning of life for me.
So you admit that you don't know what is the meaning of life yet claim that the meaning of life for you is seeking it!?

Exactly. If I knew it, I wouldn't be seeking it, would I?
Isn't it a plain natural and logical statement?

If death is for definite end of all the livings, then is there meaning in life?
How do you define death, and meaning of life?
Do you think meaning relies on immortality?
Really?

Yes, philosophy is a risky business.
Yes! The moral of this story is, if you want to live forever avoid philosophy like the plague.

How do you define death
You can't.
So your definition of death is, a process that you cannot define?

Easy.
Dying is a process, death it not.
Death is nothing. Literally nothing.

Nothing last forever.
BUT
You avoided the question.
Your opening post more than suggests that because people die, nothing means anything. THis imples that were there such a thing as immortality meaning would exist.

Can we start again?

No, it is not a logical statement.
What is your logical statement on it?
You cannot have the meaning if you are seeking it.
Because I don't have the meaning now, I am seeking it, until I do.
I thought this was a valid logical statement.
