I haven't heavily researched this area so I don't know if they like to watch it, but I do know they like to do it.

Why the interest in women watching porn? Is this a homework assignment?

This is actually a science question, and there has been research done on this topic. Typically, couples do not share with each other their sexual turn-ons. Often this is because one partner fears the other partner will not like their fetish, and so, this results in porn use. More people go to sex therapists over porn use than any other issue, and it's typically the result of a woman finding the man's porn, and noticing that the sexual acts in the porn are different from the sex they engage in, and the woman also worries why she is not sufficient for her husband. A fair amount of women also watch porn, although it is less than men.

If couples were more willing to discuss their sexual fetishes with one another, then that could reduce porn use, although I am still fairly certain porn use will still be in existence.

It could be that some men like to feel like a dirty pig once in a while, but very much prefer their wives to be prim and proper.

It could be the same men who like to swear a little once in a while but if the woman uses bad language they are put off.

Some men are a mystery to me.

Imagine people were Victorian about ice cream and it was somehow prohibited in public. It's about society's administration of desire.

Is porn art in the first place?

Well-done art can have the purpose of eliciting mild sexual arousal, and not be porn.

The porn industry started, albeit slowly, when people started wearing clothes and having sex in private.

Porn is an escape from the mundane for many people. I am a woman that watches on occasion, not very lady-like to some, but many women seem to enjoy reading long, seductive embraces in novel form. Watching or reading such encounters doesn't necessarily mean there is a desire to carry the actions out. The appeal with porn is the fantasy of being there, possibly, and with the safety of not actually being there.
It is a way to kick-start a libido, or finish the tension.
Additionally, contrary to popular belief, most porn websites are also the safest websites on the internet.
