It made me laugh, too. That Guardian is quite a "humor" rag. Now I know where you get your goofy ideas!!!

Not sure what 'goofy' ideas were in there? Most of it was just facts but I can understand how you might find this goofy. Although I'm puzzled as I'd have thought you'd like some ammunition to aim at the financial 'wizards' who claim that they deserve to be listened to due to being somehow smarter than the average bear when it comes to investment, whereas the stats show that you could have just flipped a coin and got the same results.

Just the headline,"The 1% are the very best destroyers of wealth the world has ever seen," is enough to make me laugh. The British are so unorignal they have to cop a number from a bunch of American misfits occupying Wall Street!

I know you have a problem with numbers since you can't figure out Ouzo, but 100% minus 1% equals 99%. Just say it over and over again, and I think you'll eventually catch on!

My apologies bob! I see my error in reading your first post. I'm so used to talking to those who think a missing copula is normal that I added one based on my presumption that you'd hate the article. :oops:

I don't much like Monbiot much myself but my laughter was for the coin-flipping results, the productivity figures and shared profits.
