Note that Levy separates from Zizek (who I saw interviewed on DemocracyNow) . Often, when leftists disagree, the result is violence. (Trotsky/Stalin; Maurice Bishop/Bernard Coard) A debate between Levy and Zizek would be interesting. Maybe Rick Lewis can arrange one.

I think that in the past I read a book by Levy. I believe it was called Barbarism with a Human Face. I found him to be a thoughtful leftist.

I'm not sure if I would call this a complete disagreement. There are some distinct differences, but the conflict you speak of usually results from two concrete ideas that are impossible to budge. I am also interested to see a sit down, but feel like it may be more constructive than you imagine. what I find to be the most interesting issue is the differences these two have regarding physical health. When philosophy mixes with medical issues I have been surprised at the differing opinions.

Criticism of the moral sense of Mr. Levy:
