Happy Independence Day!

Post by Constantine »

What's everyone doing to celebrate the 4th of July? Going to any parades? Cookouts? Fireworks?

i don't celebrate this 'holiday' for two reasons. first it's isolationist and stands contrary to the collective dependency that all countries should share with each other. second, to even suggest that i celebrate this day is criminal and I'll have nothing to do with your treasonous acts against the king. in fact u Americans should all be thrown in prison.

Not sure, but I think Benedict Arnold Day is coming up soon in the UK.

Watched fireworks with The Fam

Watched Murica kick British ass in 'The Patriot'

Had champagne and dessert

Danced on some Red Coats, bragged about it on British Philosophy Now Forum

For some reason, I suddenly also find myself celebrating American Independence Day.

He was a revolutionary war traitor. He didn't get promoted and his wife blew all his money on parties, so tried selling the US Fort West Point in exchange for money and a new command. This was foiled, he fled to the British, and then he razed New London to the ground. Died with broken promises from the English in the UK in 1801. And West Point is the most important US fort outside the Pentagon now. I'd say more important than the gold in Fort Knox.
