Re: the taxonomy of epistemology
PHILOSOPHY
Epistemology: the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and the distinction between justified belief and opinion.
Epistemology [Knowledge]:
1. Opinion - a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. High subjectivity and no objectivity.
2. Belief - an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof. It can also be belief with but merely based on personal conviction via self-proven. Has high subjectivity and low objectivity.
3. Knowledge -Knowledge is true belief that is distinct from opinion or guesswork by virtue of justification conditioned upon a Framework and System of Knowledge [FSK], e.g. scientific knowledge from the scientific FSK. Has low subjectivity and high objectivity.
How realistic or objective a knowledge is depends on the credibility and reliability of the respective FSK of which the scientific FSK, at present, is the standard.

Re: the taxonomy of epistemology
I think I have identified the problem. Your taxonomy is religious rather than scientific.
[religious] opinion = [scientific] idea
[religous] belief = [scientific] hypothesis
[religious] knowledge = [scientific] theory
These are, of course, analogies rather than strict philosophical equvalents.
