What is a novel coronavirus?
A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novel_virus
What we do know about this not-known virus is that it kills it's host indiscriminately without a care or conscience for it's victims. Therefore, the onus is on you personally to protect yourself if you do not want to fall victim to it.
Also, what we do know is that some people can come out of the infection totally unscathed. But still, the onus is on you personally to do what you ever you think is necessary to protect yourself according to your own personal beliefs about the life and death situation of all living sentient creatures dwelling within the universe.
While lockdown may work in the short term to save too many people getting ill at once, slowing down the death rate, eventually one must come out and face the ultimate music, in that the show must go on.
This virus is very much in control of what happens to you, not you. Life itself is death, life comes from death so that it may die again.
Strange feeling is this sense of being. It's Parasitic and opportunistic by it's very nature. It's ONE living gigantic organism that lives on or in an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutriment.
No one is immune from life or death. Time to wake up to the reality of your being.
The universe is self cleaning, it has to be because it makes ONE big bloody mess here.

Re: What is a novel coronavirus?
The virus is overrated. Death rate is lower than that of accidents.
Re: What is a novel coronavirus?
Most probably true.
Coronavirus is simply a strain of flu.
All Flu viruses that have a crown like protein structure are called coronaviruses. Each unique mutation is called a strain...COVID is therefore just another strain of the FLU regardless of whether it was synthesized in a germ lab in Bill Gates backyard, or in a wuhan wet market bat soup ...we live in a world of bacteria and viruses and corona viruses are common viruses.Your natural immune system defends you against the viruses that causes colds and flu of which there is no permanent cure as these type of viruses have the abilty to mutate into ever more new virulent strains. Next on the agenda will be a banning of us ever having sex again, and from kissing in case we all get herpes virus. And yet the World Health Organization (WHO) guidance says that children under the age of four should be given information about “early childhood masturbation” ...

What’s key about lockdown is that it allows under-supplied healthcare resources time to meet the demand of a high volume of patients coming to emergency rooms etc. for treatment of their sicknesses.Dontaskme wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 10:25 am A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

Re: What is a novel coronavirus?
covid-19 is both more infectious and more harmful than the flu. It not only appears to have a death rate of around 3%, and an immunity period of under 18 months, but it also produces long term chronic injury to many survivors (largely cardio vascular).
Figures from around the world on case rates and deaths appear to match fairly closely to rise in deaths versus expected deaths for the same time of year.

Possible answers?:
(1) The novel Coronavirus is a book that I cannot find anywhere even though it has become so popular world-wide. Is it just sold out? I also don't see it on the best sellers lists anywhere! Damn, I'm so out of the loop!
or...
(2) The novel coronavirus is a conspiracy to sell face masks to fund and popularize Islam and the world's eventual adoption to wearing the hijab!
