Thought the frame of this thread was self evident. I'm NOT touting America the biggest, America the best.

You may be just a bit too sensitive to an inconsequential offshoot to grasp the actual philosophical thrust of the message contained within the original post...

However I am not discounting your statements. Your perspective is valid.

Pay more attention then. What I was telling you is that reserve currency status is not important and that the entire premise of the thread is therefore not important either.

And stop fucking sock-puppeting with multiple accounts you utter wank bag.

From Wikipedia: World Currency -

* Blockchain offers the possibility that a decentralized system that works with little human intervention could eliminate squabbling over who would administer the world central bank.

** In addition to the idea of a single world currency, some evidence suggests the world may evolve multiple global currencies that exchange on a singular market system. The rise of digital global currencies owned by privately held companies or groups such as Ven suggest that multiple global currencies may offer wider formats for trade as they gain strength and wider acceptance.

The world also doesn't need a world central bank. What would the purpose of such a thing even be?

Essentially, true blockchains are peer-to-peer. There is no intermediary. Thus most blockchains eliminate the need for central banks.

You don't understand what central banks do.
You have no grasp of what monetary policy is for.
You have no conception of what an optimum currency area would be.

So you wouldn't understand why peer to peer blockchains cannot replace central banks. Even though they do nothing remotely similar to each other and do not fix similar problems.

There will always be central banks & a central banking systems.

Public blockchains are peer-to-peer. THERE IS NO INTERMEDIARY such as a central bank or private intermediary.

That is one of the main characteristics of the emerging blockchains.

The future World Currency will be founded in the blockchain.

Crypto-currencies are the world's first man-made international currency.

This disruptive technology heralds the philosophy of a new revolution - the digital revolution into ALL economic systems - world-wide.

Are you philosophically progressive? Is your country?

Will crypto-currencies allow future generations to be truly - citizens of the world as the great Eugene V. Debs envisioned?

I thought you said in a previous post that the Dollar was an international currency?

Thank you for paying attention. You are correct in all of your related assumptions to this thread.

Presently, in general, the US Dollar is the recognized international monetary currency of business. That is changing.

In the near future crypto-currency will be more widely recognized as the first true international store-of-value and transaction currency.

Philosophically progressive is obviously an extremely connotative term here.

I think I mean a member here at the PhilosophyNow Forums who is open & understanding of the extremely fortunate position that all of us here find ourselves in. We find ourselves smack dab in the very center of the most dynamic & disruptive revolution that mankind has ever experienced; The Digital Revolution. Often referred to as The Third Industrial Revolution.

The Digital Revolution has already completely changed the way we communicate; The Internet & Smart Phones.

The Digital Revolution has changed the way travel; Electric Self-Driving Vehicles.

Now The Digital Revolution is changing commerce; Cryptocurrency.

*Thank you for the GREAT questions. I hope the information here that I provided will help you and other members to be progressive, liberal philosophers that are able to be open enough to look ahead to new philosophical perspectives based upon our rapidly changing digital environment.
