Does the Mind See?
Does the Mind See?
When I write:
Pictures not as the eyes see - but as the mind does
Pictures not as the eyes see - but how the mind does
Is it okay?

Is it okay?
Re: Does the Mind See?
Is okay. When the eye sees thorns where the mind saw roses, self-cherishing causes anger and tears in a child, bitterness and resentment in a dreamer, compassion and sadness in the understanding.Pluto wrote:When I write:

I don't understand what you're asking, really. Is it that English isn't your first language and you're asking if those are easily understandable sentences in English?Pluto wrote:When I write:

Is the mind only able to 'see' because it is dark energy?Pluto wrote:Does the Mind See?

the impression and the description of the impression remain uniquely individual...
then again, I hardly ever mind...

What I was thinking was - can I say that the picture below is something not seen with the eyes but with the mind, and that's why it looks the way it does. Would you be happy with that?

Mind doesn't not always see what eye does see, some times there's miswiring in the brain, so either something are falsely excluded or included.Pluto wrote:When I write:

Please forgive Terra Stat, he's very ignorant about very basic things and likes to speak straight out of his ignorant ass, but he sometimes means well .....I think..Terrapin Station wrote:I don't understand what you're asking, really. It's both, to you at least, I can't see the bald baby diving.Impenitent wrote:the picture is also seen as it is named...Pluto wrote:What I was thinking was - can I say that the picture below is something not seen with the eyes but with the mind, and that's why it looks the way it does.

Has someone said this about you, Hex, and so you wanted to use it on someone else? Because it's really a misplaced comment about Terrapin Station. He could kick your ignorant ass all the way to Pluto and back!HexHammer wrote:Please forgive Terra Stat, he's very ignorant about very basic things and likes to speak straight out of his ignorant ass...
The OP was not clear.
The picture looks like an oasis to me.
Whoever said it look like a diving baby is really twisted.
I think it goes both ways: we can be deceived by our eyes while our minds see clearly... and we can be deceived by our minds while our eyes see clearly.
Re: Does the Mind See?
It's not so much what the picture depicts, more like how it is rendered or made, what it looks like. And then to say it looks like that because its not something seen through the eyes but through the mind.
