Given that you appear to be able to control yourself and that you appear to show empathy for others I doubt the shrinks diagnosis.
i think the diagnosis is ok but i dont think the problem is severe enough to risk side effects like permanent retardive dyskinesia
Are you clumsy?
i used to be as a toddler - i was more unintentionally destructive than a labrador retriever puppy
so starting at 3 i had to do both gymnastics and ballet and my father spent long hours with me playing games like operation that worked on fine motor skills
and i always have to have at least one physical extracurricular activity and exercise daily if i stop the clumsiness starts coming back very quickly
i still have some trouble with motor skills doing things i have not tried to do before
Do you find it difficult to read the non-verbal cues others give out?
i do sometimes but i am getting better
i am fortunate - i learned quite a bit of that from my twin brother whose ability to spot non verbal cues sometimes seems almost telepathic
he can tell our parents moods just by hearing their footsteps
but i did not have any particular difficulty making friends and that does not quite fit the diagnosis but most of my friends are either noticeably younger or older than myself so maybe there is something there i dont know
