"British male identity crisis spurring machismo and heartlessness"

I must say I have a hard time imagining that there is a significant amount of merit to this objective, and find it doubtful that government can meaningfully do a job in "helping" people acquire identity. Not that they can't, I'm more suspect of how it should make for a good goal and not just make people dependent on government for their own identity (which would be very negative if not outright make the dependent ones silly people) instead of finding themselves.

Being a pornography fan myself I think especially the anti-pornography view shown here shows in turn a lack of understanding. Pornography doesn't make people dumb, dumb people who choose to watch pornography get dumb ideas from it. That they say pornography makes people get bored of normal sex makes me want to question them if people cannot get bored of normal sex on their own, or that "normal" sex "has" to contain merit, that it's inconceivable that normal sex simply is stupid sex to some people.

Pornography can only speed the process up when it gives people more "sex" to consummate, and scientific research has shown pornography makes people better (the research was on whether it made them more or less aggressive), and I would personally argue that the reason for that is that the psychological satisfaction of sexual fantasy, where pornography is only an aid (like we read fantasy novels instead of writing or imagining our own stories), gives individuals hope in the world, and that contrary to popular belief, pornography can make the mass of people more sophisticated in sex, not just "perverted" or "addicted", but increase their understanding of how to manipulate each other's psyche and in so doing satisfy each other better. Normal sex is monotone sex, in other words, while the extremes and bizarres found in the world of pornography, of course with its exceptions, can widen our understanding of ways to please each other and by increasing our please-ability we as humans become more capable in other spheres of life, like the research shows we feel more positive dependency on others, we feel less need for confrontation or aggression, we when we live satisfied in our daily lives we feel more likely to be accepting of not getting everything we want but find solutions along the way.

I don't live in the UK, and I've never been there. But I think this is the wrong approach to the problem, and might very well just help people get confused out of no particular reason.

Why should men in Britain have a crisis ?
Women in Britain are polite and cooperative. Particularly because they are grateful for being treated decently by their men. If they compare their situation to that of women in other countries, they live in a paradise on earth. Each man in the street in the UK deserves a smile from a woman passing by, at least three times a day.

I thought men in the UK were thriving ...
