University Censorship

University Censorship
Reputedly there is increasing censorship of speech and expression at universities. No doubt they know if this is true.
But some more clarity is needed about values.
Expression and Speech as against Discussion.
People can dress up and express themselves in all manner of good to atrocious ways. They may do this in private so as to illustrate something under consideration.
Similarly people can employ any kind of language however offensive and vulgar as 'free speech'.
But free discussion is a form of free speech that ranges over all subjects, without let. Not so as to be offensive or vulgar, but to explore the way forward ethically.
Free discussion is something that may be employed anywhere, private of public.
Ultimately it as matter of what kind of society we are in, altruist, morally relativist, or outright authoritarian

The recent events at Berkeley are not evidence for this.
What is your evidence?
