Salary Limits by 80th percentile
Whether 20 times the minimum wage or otherwise, the answer to the question of a salary limit is plain enough. It relates largely to ownership or the social purpose of commerce.
Anything approaching a commercial tyranny would barely be interested in anything but its privilege. The shareholders being in control.
Anarchistic society would tend to have income parity by default, and one person's business would be his own in any case.
Altruistic society, such as some people may think Britain approaches, could barely leave it to a section of the population, and certainly not the shareholders. A direct cap would be crude and perhaps inoperable. We have a minimum wage which is related to average income, and this may be modified to a relationship to the 80th percentile of incomes in the country. The opposite purpose to a salary cap in form, but a salary control in effect.
