Because some numbnut invented fluid explosives and we can't wait around all day testing every bottle.Bill Wiltrack wrote:...

You think you can smuggle a hammer on board?

Even if there are fluid explosives, it's still not ethically right or professional to ban water bottles in airports. 'Terrorism' is nothing more than a justification for greater tyranny.Arising_uk wrote: Because some numbnut invented fluid explosives and we can't wait around all day testing every bottle.

They don't ban water bottles in airports, they ban you from bringing any in from outside.
Terrorism is also people blowing the shit out of you for a perceived cause. Tell you what, we should run two airlines, one where no checks are made due to not wanting tyranny and one where such tyranny presides. I know which I'll be flying on.

Water from 'outside' is same as water from 'inside'. Makes no difference.Arising_uk wrote:They don't ban water bottles in airports, they ban you from bringing any in from outside.
Suit yourself. However, please let me present you some food for thought of what happens when there is a bit 'too much' security, as I should say.Arising_uk wrote: Terrorism is also people blowing the shit out of you for a perceived cause. To be honest I don't really care what you do in America as I've had no intention of visiting ever since I was younger and discovered that they'd be taking my fingerprints if I went, Land of the Free indeed.Suit yourself. I've never heard of stories about there being attacks involving "liquid explosives". Even if there was so, it still would not bring justification to ban outside water bottles, just because a few people would attempt to do so.
I'm talking about airport security in general, as in security that involves ridiculous rules such as prohibiting water bottles and other things that I've brought up against "security", so this is a fallacious statement. I don't really see how the airports in Britain would be much better than those in America. To be honest I don't really care what you do in America as I've had no intention of visiting ever since I was younger and discovered that they'd be taking my fingerprints if I went, Land of the Free indeed.

One would be more than enough but you are allowed to take water on-board, you've just got to buy it on the other side of the security cordon.WanderingLands wrote:I've never heard of stories about there being attacks involving "liquid explosives". Like I say, we should have two systems then and I know which I'll be flying on.I'm talking about airport security in general, as in security that involves ridiculous rules such as prohibiting water bottles and other things that I've brought up against "security", so this is a fallacious statement.
