Maxims of a Fool

Post by Eodnhoj7 »

The truth is ugly because beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

Knowledge equals power. Power corrupts. Learn more, be evil.

Being overly good is just stupid, and they make laws only to control the stupid. Everyone has an
opinion about what laws should be considered good and what laws should be considered bad. In this
everyone is overly "good".

Just remember, when you are having a bad day, there is no evidence for the need to be happy.

Just remember, when you are having a good day....hmm....so what?

True Good and true evil both require sacrifice and selflessness. Yet sacrifice and selflessness
are both honored as "The Good" or "The Divine".

Moral relativity is relative to moral relativists.

A concrete morality paralyzes us from action, yet a concrete morality requires action.

For boys power equals sex. For girls sex equals power. For Men power is "Being". For women power
is an overwhelming "?". "?" is more dangerous than a "."

Wisdom and foolishness are both absurdities to the dead.

The pursuit of happiness has not done anyone any real good in the long term, but misery is pointless.

A paradox is just a thin line that "curves" reality...curvature is sexy.

Fame is fun, but fun becomes boring and tedious, and eventually a burden.

Understanding breeds contempt, but nobody understands a fool...not even the fool.

The ability to cry from the soul is an enviable virtue, only a few men can do it...for a woman to do it
is rarer.

Is is unbecoming for youths to utter maxims, but youth is relative.

Misery is fought against on behalf of "the good". "The good" is fought because it is miserable.

Men love women because shallowness is a powerful abyss and all men desire power.

Every maxim has a good and bad application to the practical life. That is why the wisest feel detached
when they utter them.

Complaining is the act of giving vent to absurdity.

Life is dirty because seeds sprout best from dirt.

It is more difficult to see elements of truth in everything than to see the falsities. However, either
way one leaves us blind.

Here's what this thread makes me think of...

It's an open playing field. Zeroing in on one controlled persona or stage, is to miss out on playing the range. There is power and entertainment and increased awareness in playing the range. Especially when one can do it with some mastery, as opposed to random flailing. :) Dance and have fun. Be soft, be tough, be kind, be fierce, be divine, be evil -- keep laughing so you don't take any of it too seriously -- and love as much as you can from wherever you are.

Happiness is being happy.

Often times we are wrong because we see the world not as it is, but as we want it to be.
Often times we are wrong because we see the world not as it is, but as we don't want it to be.
Often times we are wrong because we see the world not as it is, because we want.

If you understand fear, then you understand what the world is.
If you understand envy, then you understand what the world is.
If you understand rage, then you understand what the world is.
If you understand what the world is, then you don't understand anything of value. That is why the wisest say "all life is vain"

The language of the world is written in a binary code of penises and vaginas.

The philosopher does not have to follow "the rules", nor is he required to "make them up", his job is to observe.

The future and the past repeat themselves, because both are obscure.

When dealing with confusion, look around and realize everyone is going through the same thing whether they know it or not.

There are two types of idiots. The ones who know everything. And the ones who know nothing. The ones who know nothing are the only honest of the two. What of a third type of idiot? The type of man who calls people idiots.

Jokes are the only way to make the truth palatable, that is why all long lasting relationships are founded on humor.

Cognitive dissonance is the root of all struggle. Money is its mirror image.

The perception of truth, is the perception of self-sacrifice. Truth is found in blood.

Screams of pain and screams of ecstacy look the same, both are faces of oneself dying and being renewed.

Politics is a roaring sea....man is the crashing wave roaring fiercely and dashed upon the rocks.

All truth lies in humility, and humility is knowing one's place...but everyone is lost.

Fame is warfare.

Wise men are called wise because fools declare it so.

People go through life shouting, hoping the echoes prove they are not alone.

When in trouble...stuttering and twitching compulsively solves the problem.

"Three jews walked into a deli" and the white man telling this joke just lost his job selling proscuito.

Guns are just massive shafts loudly ejaculating.

"I" therefore "I am" would have been a more efficient statement if Descartes spent less time thinking.

"All life is about convincing people how awesome you are, because if you do that you are considered awesome."

Take a tub of ice cold water, immerse your foot in it for five seconds and pull it out. Take a tub of steaming hot water, immerse your
dry foot in it for five seconds and pull it out. Notice that for both "those first five seconds" feel the exact same.

Frost bite and 3rd Degree burns are both treated with burn cream.

If you don't enjoy random flailing...then maybe you are not doing it right.

QUOTE
It is more difficult to see elements of truth in everything than to see the falsities...

Why not simply the following? - The truths of this world are to be discovered more illusive than the misconceptions. This is a true sentiment, for our sense for that which is true is no better than the sum total of our life experience, an imperfect life, in an imperfect world, one designed only to confuse falsities with truths, one set up to recreate that which is true.

There is a "right way" to randomly flail?

Yes, random flailing can be enjoyable.
