The Ultimate Challenge of the Human Mind

The Amazing Human Mind...capable of ingesting and processing information more rapidly than any computer to date. Able to visualize the whole of eternity, to assemble the most intricate of machines, able to create the most incredible works of art, able to compose the most awe inspiring pieces of music. The human mind is able to devise languages with which to share thoughts and ideas for co-operative uses, and expand the idea of communication with abstract ideas thru mathematics...able to expound upon the most complex of theories that it itself has conceived... all this goodness also falls prey the so-called dark side of the same instrument.

The human mind is capable of inventing and reinventing newer and grander schemes to eliminate competing forms of life, including its own. The human mind so capable of instilling hatred and fear into its 'fellow inhabitants' as to cause the reflective action of 'gag' to drop the jaws of its same species in disbelief....

And so it is with the human mind so many have set upon a pedestal as if this instrument is some sort of god...for one has only to look around themselves to bear witness to its mulitude of accomplishments, both good and evil... that one may simplify the honorable position which we have placed it. The human mind has been allowed to develop without any parameters on a world-wide scale, that its power seems so endless, so enormous, that even those that share its abilities feel so utterly small next to its accomplishments.

How sad. How very sad that so many have placed a godly position to what is essentially but a tool with which we, the human species of this planet, have allowed such free-reign to explore its mighty power as just a simple observer.

How tragic that this belittlement of our true selves has taken such a distant second to that which is merely a tool needed to survive, and indeed, flourish on this planet which we are so definitely at one with, in molecular and atomic attunement, and as many a mystic has proposed, at one in the unity of consciousness.

For thru the voyage of our inner being we have the ability to see this phenomenon of mind for the tool that it really is. This human mind of ours does not hold, but can only transfer the greatest of all - love.

Love is the quality which no human mind can freely and logically define. It can only try to define the experience of Love thru its own limitations. For Love does not live within the mind, but gives mind the ability to live and work its own miracles.

Love is without question far superior to the human mind as witnessed thru the written history of our species in its time of despair, of solitude, of the grievous horrors that it has inflicted upon itself and other species that inhabit our one home in the vastness of this celestial enormity that it has witnessed.

So it is, the human mind tries in mute desperation to find a language that fully encompasses Love, and as mortals do not have enough time to fully digest the vastness of Love which is the Safe Harbor for the fragility of Life in its myriad forms, delicately co-existing together in a sheltered fear from this infinite cosmology of scattered rocks and fire, swirling planets and suns, mere dust specks in that which the human mind has defined as Eternity.

These things may indeed be mutually agreed upon as Eternity, but it is Love that holds it all together... the word that cannot be fully translatable by the Human Mind.

I feel I must repeat myself lest you are deaf or perhaps blind - "Curious if your handle, "Harbal" is a misspelling of "Horrible". Your replies sure are."

BTW: thank you for posting my essay again... but you can reread it at your leisure in the original posting.

If I were either, it wouldn't really make any difference how many times you repeated yourself, if you think about it.

I might have underestimated you. You *do* think. Thumbs up to that!
